If a recent report is correct, James Gunn seems to have clear eyes and a full heart and does not believe he is happy with the latest casting choice for his Lanterns Series on Max. The DCU boss will reportedly hire a veteran actor for one of the more experienced characters in the upcoming streaming series.

Last week, rumors emerged that the series would revolve around several human members of the Green Lantern Corps working together to solve and fight crime on Earth.

The show was ordered directly as a series earlier this year and will consist of eight episodes.

Gunn is taking his version and hopefully improved version of the DCU in the same direction as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, allowing characters like the Green Lanterns to appear in films like Superman: Legacy. How exactly the latest film about the Man of Steel is planned and Lanterns is still a mystery, but this latest report means there are at least two characters from that series who could join the Justice League at some point.

Beginning of the year Lanterns has officially signed the first of the three heroes the series will revolve around. While Jordan and Stewart will be the stars of the series, a third human Green Lantern is also expected in the Max streaming series. Nathan Fillion has been brought on board for the role of Guy Gardner.

If his contract is finalized, the role of Hal Jordan would be Chandler's first time playing a superhero.
