Edina is a good choice because it's so close to all the other areas you've been to. However, access isn't quite as easy as it's a bit isolated compared to most other locations in the game. However, it's crucial to the plot that you get there eventually, so it's better to do it sooner rather than later.
Where is Edina?
First things first, You have to get your own ship. This is a pretty simple task and happens relatively early in the game. All you have to do is travel to Baharata to get black pepper for the King of Portoga. In return, you will receive a wonderful sea vessel with which you can sail freely to Edina.
Since the map of DQ3 corresponds to reality, Edina is in the northwest in what England is supposed to be. This is directly east of the Fairy Village and northwest of Portoga, right after you get your ship. It's just a short sail away.
How to find Fading Jenny
However, once you actually land in Edina, access isn't quite as easy. In fact, entry is not possible at all. If you approach the soldier, he will reject you flatly and without recourse. Instead, focus on the nearby bard.
They will inform you about it a special plant called Fading Jenny This can make you invisible and give you the perfect opportunity to enter Edina without permission. However, the bard doesn't tell you where to find Fading Jenny, that would be too easy.
You will have to sail to the far corners of the world again to find this plant, as it is not native to this continent. So we have two options – Lanson and persistence.
Lanson is west of Aliahanand is analogous to Australia. Once you land in Lanson, The general store will sell Fading Jenny as a regular article. On the other side of the world in the middle of the eastern continentSimilar to North America, the Persistence settlement can be found here. Just like Lanson, you can buy Fading Jenny from the dealers there.
Return to Edina with Fading Jenny in hand and use it from your inventory. This will make the group temporarily invisibleso you can walk right past the guard outside.
Characters also have unique dialogue when spoken to invisiblyso make sure you speak to everyone you see.
Navigating Edina Castle
Critical path
As soon as you enter Edina Castle, You can walk around freely with full visibility. If you are inside, everyone else must do so with permission. Unless you went to Persistence to get your Fading Jenny, you may not really know what you're looking for in Edina.
They are searching for the Bottomless Pot, an artifact stolen from the people of Persistence when an expedition from Edina went to their land. It is hidden below the castlewhich thankfully isn't overly large anyway.
From the entrance, Just take the second leftwhere there is a nun that allows you to save your game. Save and then go down the stairs. This will take you to floor B1 and an overall result simple but deceptively challenging puzzle. After defeating it, the door behind it to the north of the room will unlock.
Enter this room to find The bottomless pot, stored in a chestas well as the explanation that it is originally from Persistence and that you can take it to a rocky reef in the ocean to use it.
Optional items
Like the nation it's based on, Edina Castle is full of treasure just waiting to be redistributed, and whose possession would be better than the one trying to save the world? After you get the Bottomless Pot, look around these last few treasures.

Solve the bouldering puzzle
When you enter Edina's basement, you're just one step away from getting the bottomless pot. You just have to do it First, push the boulders in the correct order. This should be pretty easy, although it's easy to overthink it.
Here is the order to push each boulder:
-
Push the boulder on the far right down once to open the path to the left.
- Push the middle boulder to the left to clear the space it occupied.
-
Push the boulder on the far left into its current position a spot to the right of the middle boulder.
-
Run all the way around, Push the boulder on the far right northThen go around it and push it back south to reach the boulder on the far left.
-
Push the boulder on the far left onto one of the three blue squares. It doesn't matter which one.
- Push the middle boulder to the left up to the water, then circle around it and push it north.
-
Now push it east and north again to the blue squares.
-
Then push the rightmost boulder one step north push it all the way to the left until it is next to the water.
- Repeat the process As for the last boulder, until it stands on the last blue square.
If you push a boulder into the water, You have to reset the puzzle to bring it back.
When all the boulders are in place, The door at the front of the room openswhich takes you directly to the Bottomless Pot. With that and all other items, Edina Castle is finished.
