This data comes from Streams Charts, a third-party tracker that regularly reports on trends in the streaming industry. In recent years, the analytics firm's findings suggest that VTuber personas have taken over female streaming.

According to the latest report from Streams Charts, this trend appears to be showing no signs of slowing down. It says that virtual creators made up more than half of the top 10 most popular female streamers in the third quarter of 2024, based on highest concurrent viewership. The company's latest list is topped by Minato Aqua, a “virtual maid” whose Aqua Ch. The channel peaked at 735,000 viewers at one point during the monitoring period, which is more than the next five streamers combined.

Only two content creators from the newly shared list buck this trend. One of them is Puerto Rican streamer Alondrissa, which recorded 151,000 peak concurrent viewers, placing it third in the rankings. The other is Twitch star Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, whose peak of 121,000 viewers earned her fifth place in the third quarter of 2024. Amouranth is also the most prolific among the top 10 content creators on the Streams Chart, having been live for over 1,221 hours during the observed period. That's almost 51 days of airtime in just three months. The rest of the top 10 spent a combined 1,650 hours streaming in the third quarter.
Not only is the newly split table dominated by virtual personas, but everyone in the top 10 happens to be Hololive VTuber. This is further evidence of how far the Tokyo-based talent agency has come since its beginnings in 2016, and suggests that its content creation efforts are currently at their absolute peak. Hololive's Japanese affiliate is still the most successful of all, although the Q3 2024 top 10 list includes one of its English channels, Koseki Bijou, which came in 10th with a peak concurrent audience of 80,000.
Looking at the bigger picture, Hololive's Usada Pekora still tops the rankings for the most-watched female streamer of 2024. Her YouTube channel has reached over 26 million hours of watch time so far since the turn of the year and is expected to continue to grow in the near future.
