By now, Dragon Age: The Veilguard players are familiar with its companion center, the Lighthouse, but this wasn't the intended location from the start.
BioWare has released another patch for Dragon Age: The Veil Guardian on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The most notable quality of life improvements include the addition of filters for use in photo mode, new icons for selected weapons, and a notification when the Crossroads Ghost Trader is available. Additionally, arrow keys can now be bound to input mappings, and screenshots taken in Photo mode now have simplified filenames that simply indicate the date the photo in question was taken.
Patch 3 also includes dozens of bug fixes, including one that caused music to unexpectedly stop playing. The causes of some crashes have been addressed, the textures of certain characters and environmental objects have been improved, and several distance pop-in issues have been resolved. Many other fixes address strange facial expressions, object clipping, and NPC issues, including an issue where the mayor of D'Meta's Crossing appeared in two locations at once.
Although the world of Thedas is vast and there are still many stories to be told, Bioware recently confirmed this Dragon Age: The Veil Guardian wouldn't have any post-launch DLC as the team is focused on the next game in the year Mass effect Universe. Changes in quality of life:
- Arrow keys can now be bound to input mappings.
- Filters added to photo mode.
- Screenshot file names in Photo Mode have been simplified to reflect the date the photo was taken.
- The file path where screenshots are saved is now displayed in-game when taking a screenshot in Photo Mode.
- It is now easier to see where an enchantment has been applied to a companion's equipment.
- Adjusted the description of the Glint option in Settings.
- New rings can now be compared with both equipped ring slots.

Bug fixes:
- The causes of a small number of crashes have been resolved.
- Rook's body shape no longer changes unexpectedly after a cutscene with Emmrich.

- Fixed a rare issue where some of an existing tower's settings were unintentionally reset after a new tower was created and saved. This fix is now available on consoles and will retroactively affect saves across all platforms.
- Adjusted the volume of Spite's voice in some scenes.
- Fixed some cases where music playback stopped incorrectly.
- Fixed some cases of unintentional music or sound effects playing.
- Antaam champions now properly deal slightly more damage.
- Mage towers no longer move awkwardly to the right after a long dodge.
- The Rogue skill “Outsider's Bite” now correctly lists “Amplified Damage” instead of “Amplified Damage”.
