Blood transfused will surely go down in history as one of the most bittersweet PlayStation games of all time. A dark fantasy RPG that many consider to be FromSoftware's masterpiece, Blood transfused is inexplicably limited to the PlayStation 4, despite strong consumer demand for a PC port, next-gen update, or remaster/remake.
FromSoftware's specific brand of disturbing art design, music and world building comes together to create a Blood transfused a masterpiece of action-adventure storytelling. It is set in a world that is very different from that of Dark Souls And Elden Ringthe gothic, Lovecraftian nightmare is full of nuanced visual style: from the crowded cobblestone streets of Yharnam to the incomprehensible and grotesque lands of the Nightmare Frontier, Blood transfused is a consistently memorable and gruesome visual treat. Its raw artistry rivals pretty much any game coming out in the 2020s, but its poor frame rate and low resolution are unfortunate warts holding it back, so Sony should take the opportunity to give it a much-needed facelift on the recently unveiled PS5 Pro.

A Bloodborne remaster is long overdue
Much ink has been spilled about the possibility of a Blood transfused Remake or remaster, to the point where the arguments have become a bit outdated. Whether Sony, Blood transfusedIf the publisher is held back by licensing, technical or financial constraints, it seems as if Blood transfused has been all but abandoned, baffling fans who consider it one of FromSoftware's best works. Hopes for a proper Blood transfused The number of sequels is dwindling, especially given FromSoftware's apparent allergy to sequels, but the 2015 hit deserves a little love.
Something similar to the Bluepoint remake of Demon Souls is not necessary and would probably be a bad way – again, Blood transfused's art style holds up remarkably well. Rather, a solid, thoughtful remake of the game that offers a higher, more consistent frame rate, better resolution, and maybe even some fancy visual effects like ray tracing could make it more palatable to modern audiences. The goal should be to improve on what the original already offers, not to reinvent it or fix what isn't broken. Fortunately, the PS5 Pro’s new features could do just that.
Bloodborne and PSSR could be a match made in heaven
PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, or PSSR for short, is Sony's answer to the AI upscaling technology from GPU manufacturers like NVIDIA and AMD. In theory, PSSR should help more games achieve and maintain higher FPS without compromising image quality. Since 60 FPS is a constant demand among Blood transfused Fans, Sony should use PSSR to make FromSoftware's cosmic horror opus run at a faster speed.
By PSSR, Blood transfused on the PS5 Pro could overcome its FPS problems and hold its own against newer games, looking better and playing smoother. Of course, that wouldn't be the ideal solution – gamers have been begging for it for a long time Blood transfused on the PC for years – but it would be better than nothing. More importantly, such a decision could lead to further Blood transfused Content on the street.
A full-fledged Bloodborne 2 still seems like a pipe dream, but perhaps the powerful would realize the full extent of the Blood transfused the excitement of the community if the game were to receive the PSSR treatment. In other words, the revival Blood transfused with 60FPS and higher frame rates through PSSR upscaling could breathe new life into the game, attract new fans and pave the way for the long-awaited Blood transfused PC port or at least a proper PS5 remaster.
