- The differences and similarities
Known as Attack on Titan: Volume 0It was Isayama's very first draft as a mangaka at the age of 19 in 2006. After its publication, the work won the Good job Award in the Grand Prix magazine from Kodansha. A physical copy of the book was included with purchases of the anime's first DVD in mid-2013.
Since the same premise of humanity being trapped in an enclosed space by giant humanoids, this time they were surrounded by trees. In a similar feat to the 2015 live-action films, Titans were created as weapons of war but quickly spiraled out of control.

Attack on Schoolbox: Attack on Titan's canon parallel
Isayama is openly a fan of American pop culture, so much so that he even made an AU specifically for Eren – but this may be more than just fun and games.
Eren's will
While Mikasa is the first character to be enrolled in the stream Attack on TitanPresent Volume 0 Has Murakumo, the main protagonist of the story, who shares similar traits with Eren. His protégé, a young girl, Tsubaki, is enthusiastic about avenging her parents. They both have similar traits to Eren, like they are both passionate and want to join the Vanguard Corps.
However, it's easy to see where the origins of most of the main characters came from. Murakumo has the honor and resilience of Erwin, blunt like Levi and quick like Mikasa. Tsubaki also has similar traits to Gabi and Eren in that they are passionate and want to be taken seriously. Furthermore, her character design is similar to the former.
In the small community in which they live, it is widely believed that Titans who have eaten humans have the ability to assume their human form and replace it, living among humans without their knowledge. Due to Murakumo's assertive personality and ability, he becomes a presumptive Titan. But when one of the guards who accused him was revealed to be a Titan, Murakumo himself transforms his life to protect everyone in the process.
The differences and similarities
It goes without saying since this was initially a pilot chapter published 3 years ago Attack on TitanThe official serialization, there are many differences to be had. For example, instead of the Titans being a result of a supernatural force, they came through government experimentation and turning humans into weapons of war.
Those without pure hearts or strong willpower succumb to it rather than maintain their human forms. As a result, a fraction of humanity retreated into a society that brought hundreds of years back in civilization. The “walls” are instead also trees that are dense enough to keep titans out.

Attack on Titan: How Eren's Character Development Makes Sense
One of Attack on Titan's biggest controversies was Eren's “sudden” change of heart at the end, but the story's events imply otherwise.
Strangely enough, the plot and content of Volume 0 has a lot in common with the 2015 film adaptation. In the film, it is revealed that there are actually people outside the wall, but a small portion were forced to retreat behind the walls when Titan experiments spiraled out of control. In a similar feat, the story takes place in the present day and countries are experimenting on humans to create biological weapons in the form of Titans. For most Shifters, they were unable to control their abilities and became senseless, while only a handful were able to maintain their consciousness and change at will, with Eren being one of them. In all versions of Attack on TitanThere is a weak point that kills them instantly, but in Volume 0There is a small ball in the arm called the nuclei.
There is also an instance where Murakumo repairs a radio for a child. In the live action, Armin repairs broken electronics. Additionally, live-action Eren is known for accepting jobs and being fired shortly afterward. While Murakumo doesn't have that worst Reputation, he is known for taking small jobs here and there.
Is it canon?
Isayama played a large role in the production of the live-action film, so it's safe to say he may have used inspiration from inspiration Volume 0 when creating the narrative. While it differs from the final product (The Manga), it is a welcome addition to the world of Attack on Titan.
