Amber is chock-full of powerful princesses and music lovers from across the Disney franchises. And in Disney Lorcana, this love of music, this hope for healing and the desire to do good is largely reflected in this yellow gem. But what if you want to collect or sell your cards?
It's less about the strongest cards and more about how valuable a card is. And in the Amber Suite, these cards will either net you a hefty sum or make you think about singing on street corners to raise money to buy them. Okay, probably not, but you get the point.
This list is based on the average market price displayed on TCGPlayer.
10 Minnie Mouse, Musketeer Champion (Enchanted) – $78.62
Set four, Ursula's return
Minnie Mouse may not be the first character that comes to mind when the set name “Ursula’s Return” is mentioned. But if you've used or enjoyed the Musketeer-themed cards, then you may be very familiar with the Queen from the Mickey Mouse and Friends series.
Her strength is certainly not her strength, but her ability to protect your other cards is thanks to her Bodyguard ability. But aside from her beautiful art, what makes her stand out is that she can banish any character that has a power of five or more when you first bring her into play.
9 Chernabog, Evildoer (Enchanted) – $82.64
Set three, Into The Inklands
Chernabog is one of only two villains on this list who fights his way out of the depths to become part of the royal family that has a stranglehold on the Amber card collection. Of course, it helps a lot that his card is enchanted in rarity, but he is also a valuable card that can halt your opponent's progress and win you the game.
This 10 card can be played much earlier depending on how many characters unfortunately found their way into your discard pile. Luckily, actually. Because as soon as it is played, you take all lost and discarded characters and shuffle them back into your deck, regardless of their cost or how long ago they were discarded.
8 Vanellope Von Schweetz, Sugar Rush Princess (Enchanted) – $89.09
Set Five, Shimmering Skies
This Princess of Sugar Rush decrees that every time you bring another princess onto the field, all enemies have a -1 to their strength until your next turn begins. It's a sweet nod to Vanellope's time spent with the Disney princesses in the second Wreck-It Ralph film.
Not only is she a valuable card in a Princess deck, but part of her value and charm comes from the way enchanted art is depicted in the Shimmering Skies set. The area on the map where skills and stats are displayed has been made more transparent to better show off the art of the map and make it stand out even more compared to the others.
7 Cinderella, Melody Weaver (Enchanted) – $89.62
Set four, Ursula's return
Another non-villain that received the enchanted card treatment is on the list. Cinderella, Melody Weaver costs five to play, but has the Singer ability, allowing her to sing songs that cost nine ink or less. Well, there aren't many songs in this range, but the Sing Together songs go all the way up to Nine Ink and beyond.
Singing “Second Star To The Right” costs ten ink. While you may have had to spend your ink or use many characters to perform this song, you can use Cinderella and just one other instead. Or she can sing songs like “Look At This Family,” which costs seven inks to play, all by herself.
6 Kida, Protector of Atlantis (Enchanted) – $93.18
Set three, Into The Inklands
This Atlantean princess is depicted in this beautiful card art, which pays homage to her taking up or becoming the heart of Atlantis in the film of the same name. She's an interesting card that you won't want to play as soon as you add her to your hand, as her “Maybe We Can Save Our Future” ability affects all character cards, including your own.
Every character on the field when you play Kida suffers a -3 to their Strength. However, if you play Kida and then play characters, they will not suffer this -3 debuff. And with cards like Minnie Mouse, Musketeer Champion, if your opponent has a character with a power greater than five and Kida would take them below that, Minnie Mouse can banish them. You'll have to be creative with your play style, but it can be a niche solution in certain situations.
5 Hades, King of Olympus – $103.49
Set one, the first chapter
Hey, it's the other villain who made this list of Amber cards. This enchanted work of art depicts Hades as King of Olympus rather than his usual underworld abode, while also giving him golden flames that act as his hair, perfectly matching the charisma of the yellow gemstone.
Regardless of whether you own the enchanted or standard version of this card, Hades is an excellent addition to a Rogue deck, as he can search for additional lore for whatever Rogue is currently on your side of the battlefield. By pairing him with someone like Namaari, Morning Mist could extend his time on the field thanks to her bodyguard ability while also granting him additional lore. However, depending on how late in the game you summon Hades, Namaari may not have the willpower you need.
4 Snow White, Well-Wisher (Enchanted) – $125.77
Set two, Rise Of The Floodborn
Snow White shines in this enchanting card thanks to her bright colors and muted brown tones that form the forest background behind her. And she might as well have the light of heaven upon her, since her abilities make her something of a necromancer.
Similar to Chernabog's ability to bring back all characters from your discard pile, Snow White, Well-Wisher can bring a character back from the dead each time she completes a quest. If you can keep her on the field for a while, she could very well fish out all the lost animals from the discard pile. However, she will be vulnerable to attacks while questing, so you'll need to find a way to protect her.
3 Prince Naveen, Ukulele Player (Enchanted) – $154.61
Set Five, Shimmering Skies
We had princesses and even a king, so of course a prince had to be on the list at some point. And Prince Naveen does this thanks to his beautiful card art from set five of Lorcana. Just like Vanellope, Naveen's map has a more transparent look, making it really stand out from all the characters with standard graphics.
It's a Singer card that can play songs that cost six or less. And if you play it and have a song that costs that much ink or less, you can play it immediately and for free. Therefore, it makes most sense to keep Prince Naveen until you have a song you want to play, but with the right deck combination you shouldn't wait long.
2 Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation (Enchanted) – $244.77
Set two, Rise Of The Floodborn
Cinderella appears on this list for the second time because her card from set two is so valuable and desirable. It could have a lot to do with the card art, as it's a very stylized depiction of her in her famous blue dress, which looks more like a well-done sketch compared to the other enchanted characters.
However, it could also be due to their skills. It only costs one ink to play, but has the Singer ability that allows it to use song cards that cost three or less. This means you can sing a card for free on your second turn and still have the ink to summon a character, giving you an early advantage over your opponent.
You must wait for Cinderella's ink to dry completely before you can use her singer ability. So even though you can play her in the first round, you still have to wait a round for her to sing a song.
1 Stitch, Carefree Surfer (Enchanted) – $258.33
Set one, the first chapter
Does anyone else feel like Stitch ended up on this list, as he did with numerous Disney films when his film first came out? Perhaps not as much as Stitch, Carefree Surfer has held its value since the release of The First Chapter. Although it's a different style than the Shimmering Skies enchanted cards, you can tell which wave Stitch is surfing through the ability information block.
Not to mention the sweet addition of Pudge getting a peanut butter sandwich in keeping with Lilo's Thursday tradition. Perhaps this all explains why this Stitch card in particular maintains such a high market price, competing with the most valuable cards in all of Lorcana.
