While the dark appeal of vampire literature has technically attracted gothic horror fans for centuries, Vampire: The Masquerade has successfully translated the concept into the tabletop RPG format. As more and more blood-sucking creatures of the night have found prominent roles in the media in recent years, the only other franchise with similar status at the moment is the ever-growing One Castlevania. Both series, despite their vast differences, are giants in their respective media, but their overlapping themes and lore would make for a crossover Vampire: The Masquerade only natural.
As an action-packed video game series versus a narrative TTRPG, these IPs contrast each other as two pillars of long-running vampire media. A resurgence in recent years by Netflix Castlevania Series and several guest appearances in games have led to the Konami company gaining notoriety VTM has maintained consistent publications that could support a new sourcebook based on a different interpretation of an expanded myth.
