Not everyone in the bleaching The universe is just as hot-headed and proactive as Ichigo. There are quite a few people, both heroes and villains, who would rather let others do the work for them while they relax and enjoy their own company. In summary, these characters can be considered lazy because they avoid taking responsibility or getting involved in serious situations when they should.

However, thanks to author Tite Kubo's excellent character writing skills, there are lazy characters too bleaching can still seem entertaining, be it because of her comedic humor or because of her immense power. In any case, these are the characters that are considered the laziest of all bleaching Series.

1 Kyoraku Shunsui

Suigetsu's easy-going personality makes him a pretty lousy fighter

• First appearance: Episode 24

Early in the bleaching In the story, Kyoraku is portrayed as a strong but ultimately very carefree member of the Gotei 13. When fans first see Kyoraku after Chad meets him, the captain is lying on the ground drinking all alone, even offering a drink to the enemy standing right in front of him.

When Chad refuses and starts launching a barrage of attacks instead of jumping into action, Kyoraku dodges each one like child's play, all while sitting down. He does take on more responsibility as the story progresses, but even when facing deadly threats like Coyote Starrk, Kyoraku's laziness still gets the best of him at the worst of times.

2 Yukio Hans Vorarlberna

Yukio is almost always seen lounging around with his handheld console

It's easy to forget that Yukio is a member of the Fullbringers, considering he prefers to hide out and play on his handheld console. Whenever the Fullbringers have something serious to do, such as when they are tasked with training Ichigo, Riruka has to be the one to urge Yukio to join in, which he does reluctantly.

As a result, this guy barely gets any screen time, as it's implied that whenever he's not desperately needed, he's engrossed in an intense gaming session. Even when Yukio is called back for the final arc, he rarely looks away from the screen. But one thing is certain: no matter what game he plays, it must take quite a long time for him to be this intense.

3 Gremmy Thoumeaux

Gremmy's imagination means he doesn't have to move a muscle in battle

Since Gremmy's ability, the Visionary, allows him to bring anything he can imagine into reality, he doesn't have to move a muscle when facing off against an enemy, making him a rather lazy fighter. A prime example of this is Gremmy's duel with Squad 11's bloodthirsty captain, Zaraki Kenpachi.

While Kenpachi throws everything he has at Gremmy and is even forced to unleash his Bankai, taking an immense toll on his body, Gremmy remains in the same spot for almost the entire fight. He even managed to summon a meteor simply by imagining it existed. Luckily, Gremmy was given this unique power as his lazy personality would not have been compatible with any type of sword fighting.

4 Coyote Starrk

The Number 1 Espada would rather relax and watch the world go by than fight

• First appearance: Episode 138

It is ironic that out of all of Aizen Starrk's Espada, he is the one who takes first place in terms of power level, as he also happens to be the most laid back and laziest of them all. When Starrk is forced to face Kyoraku in the “Fake Karakura Town” storyline, the captain standing in front of him doesn't seem to bother him at all and keeps telling Kyoraku that he would rather avoid fighting if he can.

The truth is that Starrk has such amazing spiritual pressure that any Hollow that came near him was killed, forcing him into isolation in his youth. As a result, Starrk has become quite used to hanging around and letting the world go by, despite being one of Aizen's strongest subordinates.

5 Marechiyo Omaeda

Omaeda's lazy personality often clashes with his serious and stoic captain

• First appearance: Episode 30

Although Omaeda begins to act out a bit more later in the series, in the first few storylines he is largely portrayed as a burden to his captain, Soi Fon, due to his laziness and obsession with potato chips. Unlike his stoic captain, who is always deadly serious and focused on the mission at hand, Omaeda is a much more carefree spirit, taking a relaxed view of the events around him.

That's not to say he won't step in immediately if necessary, but as Soi Fon knows all too well, getting this guy to do his duty is no easy task. Thankfully, Kubo shows Omaeda in a much better light during the Thousand Year Blood War, but then again, it's hard to be so nonchalant when an army of Quincies arrives on your doorstep.

6 Giselle Gewelle

Who needs to put in the effort when a zombie army can do anything for you?

• First appearance: TYBW episode 15

Giselle's ability, the Zombie, allows her to resurrect her friends and enemies to become members of her own zombified army. As a result, Giselle doesn't actually have to fight herself, but instead throws mindless corpses at the enemy and later snacks on their flesh when she ends up injured, as shown to her by her deceased “friend” Bambietta.

Since Giselle can also be ripped apart without feeling anything, this means she doesn't have to put in too much effort in her fights and can instead let her zombies get their hands dirty. This easy-going and laid-back personality helped make Giselle a lovable, if still very scary, member of the Sternritter series.

7 Rangiku Matsumoto

Every day in Soul Society is a lazy day for Rangiku

Throughout the history of bleachingThere were many scenes showing what each of the Soul Reapers do on their days off. For some, like Renji or Hitsugaya, this means training with their Zanpakuto, while for Byakuya it can mean filling out paperwork. However, even when Rangiku has urgent tasks to attend to, she almost always ends up getting beaten up at the bar by anyone she can convince to join her.

There were even moments where she teased her captain, Hitsugaya, for being too “hardworking,” which often resulted in the two arguing with each other. Rangiku is another Soul Reaper who enjoys showing off what she's made of when the situation calls for it, even if she'd rather take a hot bath or enjoy a few rounds of sake instead.

8 Askin Nakk Le Var

It takes a lot of time for Askin to actually start trying in a fight

• First appearance: TYBW episode 17

Askin may be a high-ranking member of the Schutzstaffel, but that doesn't necessarily mean he always gives his best in combat. In fact, Askin has a tendency to run away from any confrontation that seems like he needs to expend at least a little energy to do so, as shown when he sprints away from Grimmjow, only to find a nice and quiet place where he can Enjoy a cup of coffee.

Later in the Thousand Year Blood War, Yoruichi even notices that Askin is deliberately holding back his power and just messing around with his prey. Judging by his picnic baskets and coffee maker, Askin would prefer to just sit around and enjoy some delicious snacks, which is what he does for much of the first half of the final arc.
