Doomsday Beast

The Doomsday Beast is the first major boss you encounter, and while Welt may save you in your first encounter with this monster, you won't be so lucky the second time around. His left and right arms deal significant imaginary and quantum damage. At the center of the battlefield is the Antimatter Machine, which grants massive buffs to the rest of her body and unleashes a powerful single-target attack when she's finished charging.

The only way to break this beast's two phases is to break through all three body parts. This makes the Doomsday Beast vulnerable to attacks and gives you the opportunity to pile up the damage. Aventurine summons a pair of dice that you must destroy. If you fail to destroy numbers that are cumulatively higher than his, your team will immediately suffer significant imaginary damage, followed by an action delay. In his second phase, Aventurin's gambling strategy tightens even further, forcing you to roll an even higher number of his dice or suffer dire consequences.

The Harmonic Choir is equal parts mystical and stunning. This boss specializes in constantly harassing your characters while protecting his toughness bar with melodic spells and minions, giving him an unusual twist that forces you to rethink your battle strategy.

His moves don't hit like a truck, but without debuff cleaner his ability to put your units to sleep becomes a real problem. You also can't brute force your way through without destroying the massive toughness bar, so you're constantly fighting to stay alive. Since the Choir's damage increases significantly in the third phase, this fight ultimately boils down to a Break Effect race.

The “Past, Present, and Eternal Show” adds drama and turns the fight into a high-stakes performance rather than a simple brawl. Something Unto Death embodies death itself, turning combat into a gritty chess game rather than a simple brawl. His attacks revolve around the Morbid Dream status effect, which deals a fatal blow to your characters and leaves nothing but a grave marker. The only way to free your characters from this state is to attack these markers until they break, forcing you to choose between saving allies or attacking the boss.

In its second phase, Something Unto Death becomes even stronger and gains an AoE version of its Morbid Dream attack called “Watery Dissolution”. If you are not properly prepared to counter these attacks, this mechanic can quickly overwhelm your team.
