Marvel Rivals Tier List (Best Marvel Rivals Characters, Ranked)
With 33 heroes at launch, Marvel Rivals has plenty of characters to choose from to win games. Here are all the heroes ranked from best to worst.
This list highlights seven of the weakest heroes Marvel Rivals that are still fun regardless of whether they're too difficult to learn or completely underpowered. These heroes may not be suitable for high-tier ranked play in the current meta, but they will be a lot of fun in casual play.
7
Peni Parker
Difficult to learn but fun to play
-
vanguard
-
Difficulty: 4 stars
Thanks to her self-healing, stunning and invisible spider mines, Peni Parker can be an absolute nightmare. Additionally, her ultimate ability allows her to clear a target with ease, knock enemies away, and cover everything with mines. Despite this, it still lags behind other Vanguards in terms of impact on the game.
Due to the difficult kit to use, learning Peni can be overwhelming for new players, and many players would rather opt for a tank whose abilities are more directly targeted to the tank. While all of this can make Peni feel disappointing, she is still worth playing as putting her skills to use in a game can feel incredible.
6
magic
Master magic and steel
-
Duelist
-
Difficulty: 3 stars
Magik is a great character from a visual and conceptual perspective, harnessing the power of Limbo to blink in and out of existence, summon demons, and transform into an unstoppable beast. Still, she can struggle in games without a cohesive team, as she shines when she can flank an opponent's defensive line and the rest of her team has to keep the tanks away from her.
If a player is able to flank a team and get close to their healers, Magik can be incredible, slashing through softer heroes with ease while boosting her health with each hit. It's definitely worth a try, as long as the player can stay away from enemy tanks that could overwhelm them.
5
Black widow
Pinpoint precision
-
Duelist
-
Difficulty: 4 stars
Black Widow faces the same problems as any sniper class or character in gaming: the player's accuracy is required. To make an impact in Black Widow, a player must achieve deadly precision with her shots, and the rest of her skills don't add much to that. She can easily be caught by a Hawkeye as he fills a similar role with fewer disadvantages.

How to lock your target in Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals players who are having trouble with their aim compared to other games can change the settings to help them.
Despite all of this, hitting critical shots is one of the most satisfying experiences ever if a player puts in the time and effort to become good snipers in Black Widow Marvel Rivalsand he can be incredibly frustrating to play against. Just focus on the enemy healers and let the rest of your team panic.
4
Adam Warlock
Revive allies and share their damage
-
strategist
-
Difficulty: 3 stars
Adam Warlock is a unique healer in the world Marvel Rivals Squad, as he can revive allies with his ultimate ability. That being said, Adam Warlock can feel incredibly disappointing. While he can achieve some impressive healing numbers, the difficulty of doing so compared to other strategists leaves him feeling weak.
However, a good Adam Warlock can dominate a game, and there is no better feeling than reviving the entire team at the last moment to capture a point and win the game.
3
Storm
Hover over the battlefield and shock enemies
-
Duelist
-
Difficulty: 3 stars
Storm is arguably the weakest duelist in the game. With their sluggish movement and average health, going up against crowds of other, more powerful duelists can be endlessly frustrating. Many players dismissed her as a weaker Iron Man and decided to leave her behind.
Despite her weaknesses, Storm can be great fun to play in the right lobbies, and her ultimate ability is a powerful area-denying resource. They're worth trying out even if a player decides never to pick them up again. Just watch out for a flying Wolverine as he can easily knock Storm out of the sky.
2
Loki
God of mischief and healing
-
strategist
-
Difficulty: 4 stars
The God of Mischief is undeniably fun to play as he can flood the map with clones, teleport, deal decent damage, and dish out impressive heals. To top it all off, his ultimate ability to turn the player into a clone of another hero can lead to some incredibly funny moments.

Marvel Rivals: All the Villains in the Game, Ranked
Marvel Rivals currently offers players 33 characters to choose from; Here's how the villains in the cast compare to each other.
However, Loki has a hard time when caught alone, and his healing requires a certain level of finesse to be effective, making him feel inferior to heroes like Cloak & Dagger and Luna Snow. Still, it's worth playing because there's nothing more rehabilitating than stealing Jeff The Land Shark's ultimate and destroying the entire opposing team.
1
Magneto
Use the power of magnetism
-
vanguard
-
Difficulty: 2 stars
The last hero on this list is Magneto. While he isn't as underpowered as some of the other heroes on this list, he sees much less use than most other Vanguards in the game. His skills are relatively easy to learn and he can deal decent ranged damage, but his main weaknesses are that he is outgunned by duelists at close range.
While he struggles to compete 1v1 against some of the DPS heroes, Magneto can hold his own, but is simply outclassed by players like Groot and Venom when it comes to functioning as a tank. However, using his ultimate ability to absorb enemy fire and send a devastating meteor into his team is hilarious, and his team ability with Scarlet Witch makes for some funny moments too.
