This will be a big year for Disney LorcanaSince it will spread three large extensions in 2025. The first new set for the game is the island of the archazia Lorcana'The first multi-colored cards called Dual-Int. These are delivered with an inherent restriction of the cover building, since the players can normally only do Lorcana Decks with two ink colors at the same time, so that the double cards automatically set in stone which colors are permitted in a certain deck. Another remarkable factor is that dual-link cards are one of the consequences Magic: The assemblyPrinciples when it comes to color diet.
Magic: The assembly And Lorcana are very different games, and thanks to its 32-year presence on the market, the former has a lot more experience in the belt. MTG We had a lot of time to grow both the audience and the gameplay, and multicolored cards played a major role in this growth. Be it for monobaries or multicolored cards, Magic: The assembly Everything revolves around color tentation; Some colors are more tailored to certain actions or mechanics than others, and this changes accordingly if a card has more colors. LorcanaThe dual-in-in-in-link cards follow a similar principle, for good or bad.
Magic: The assembly contains 26 color combinations that are located with various lore -related names, and they absorb elements from the five main colors and merge to create new identities.

Lorcana and Magic: The assembly are very different games, but the former adds a controversial mechanic from the latter.
Lorcana extends color diet like magic: the assembly did it
Similar to MTGPresent Lorcana Cards have their own color diet. For example, Sapphire has several options to bring more than one card into the ink in every round. Amethyst has many ways to draw additional cards. Amber has singer characters that can be exercised to play songs that cost more ink, and so on. With every color combination, Lorcana Decks have gradually developed their own identity, and double cards seem to deal more than try to break the shape. This can be good or bad depending on the color combinations, but it is exactly what MTG Has done over the years.
Lorcananew 101 Dalmatian Building cards into the already attempted identity of amber/sapphire -aggro decks that deal with hero characters, only this time it is more about puppy characters given the focus on pets from Archazia's island. Several new emerald/steel cards are also about pirates, which the Azurite Sea prefers thanks to a wealth of new pirate figures. Ruby/Amber has several new cards connected to racing drivers, which also makes sense after this color combination has seen many racing drivers and locations in the last sets, especially in shimmering sky.
Why Lorcana's dual-in-in -its could be a double-edged sword
As such, it makes sense for LorcanaThe new island of Archazia is based on existing deck archetical types with dual-in-in-in-in cards, which are supposed to be the initoma of color bentity for two different types of tint. At the same time, not all existing color combinations are strong in the same way. Ruby/Bernstein is often seen as a villain deck, be it in his Mufasa version or in the places and racing drivers deck. Ruby/Steel is another combination that does not see much games outside of a recently carried out pirate version. The new Ruby/Steel cards are apparently about challenging opposing characters, which is probably a weak gameplay niche for colors with little or no healing.
As much as Lorcana consequences Magic: The assembly'S steps can be a good thing, the game is still in its infancy. This is only the second full year of publications for LorcanaAnd before it is committed to certain color dates, it may be better to train the different color combinations. For example, Ruby and Steel have many distances. So it can be a better and more satisfactory niche than just being more accessible and satisfying. This does not mean that the game in future sentences does not expand the identity of each color combination MTG Has done in over 30 years, but the island of Archazia may not be able to move the needle in terms of meta decks if you do not generate any new color.
