Monster Hunter World was a milestone not only for the series, but for Capcom as a whole. The overall improvement in quality brought many new players to a relatively niche series, making it the company's best-selling game of all time. Many new elements have contributed to this, and the developers want to expand them in Monster Hunter Wilds.

We did see that Wilds looks better graphically than World and, thanks to the open beta test, includes a number of new features such as the Seikret mounts and the ability to switch weapons. However, we will have to wait until February 2025 to see all the new and improved features of Monster Hunter Wilds.
A wild new world
“It's true, World has reached quite a lot of people,” CEO Kaname Fujioka told PC Gamer through an interpreter. “Seeing people become fans of the game means a lot to us because Monster Hunter allows us to express the game design and creativity that we value so much. And having people around the world really understand it has really given us a lot of confidence.”
Given how well Monster Hunter World performed, it is not surprising that the development team has adjusted certain features of the game for the upcoming installment. “When it comes to Wilds, we’re really expanding on the parts that were appreciated in World and developing it even further.”
As for the features we'll see from previous Monster Hunter games, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto told us that the team hasn't ruled out bringing back tools like the Wire Bug and Clutch Claw.
When asked if these tools would return, Tsujimoto said that the team makes such decisions based on the monsters' designs. “So of course we don’t know at this point whether the features we have in previous titles will make it into future titles. Maybe some will, maybe others won't. We really can't say because of course it depends on what suits each title best.”
