Powerful
God of war Ragnarök will be a familiar name to many and will take home numerous awards at the 2022 Game Awards God of war (2018) The player takes control of Kratos, the titular god of war, as he continues to fight to combat the Norse pantheon and raise his son.
While God of war is a much more action-oriented game than The Last of UsIt plays like a hack-and-slash action RPG and has the same feeling of family relationships as The Last of Us. As Ellie and Joel grow closer through the game's narrative, Kratos and his son Atreus form a bond in a changing world and find themselves in a beautifully crafted story.

Another sequel, Dying Light 2 Stay human, is an action-horror RPG in which the player must survive the zombie apocalypse through parkour and combat. While Dying Light 2 is not the strongest game on this list, it has a unique gameplay style and is quite satisfying once the player gets used to it.
Dying Light 2 is not a wonderful storytelling experience like The Last of Us and it's unlikely that a player will feel the same way as the story of Ellie and Joel. However, the post-apocalypse setting gives it a similar atmosphere to that of The Last of Us, and won't seem completely unfamiliar to fans of the other franchises.

The third-person gameplay with elements of collecting ammo that the player can find and trying to avoid combat as much as possible to conserve ammo makes it possible Dead space play very similar The Last of Us. While the narrative of Dead space is not as well made as that of The Last of UsThere are enough secrets and intrigue in the game to keep a player hooked throughout the entire game.

A plague story of innocence
So many rats

Strong
Both games in the A plague story Franchises are incredible historical forays into the chaos of a plague-ravaged France. The first of the two, A plague story of innocence puts the player in control of Amicia and her brother Hugo, once children of the aristocracy who are now forced to flee the Inquisition. Through a mix of fairly simple combat and surprisingly deep stealth mechanics, the player must find his way in a world that is collapsing.
The sibling relationship between Amicia and Hugo is beautifully written, even if Hugo's voice can get annoying at times. The gameplay is fun, although it's the narrative that sets this game apart from the others. While A plague fairy tale requiem is probably the better game, innocence must be played to get the most out of the sequel.

Alan Wake 2

Powerful
Alan Wake 2 is the only game on this list that's arguably not apocalyptic at all. Adapted from author Alan Wake, the player must find a way to escape a dark alternate dimension by writing the story of an FBI agent who solves the case with the power of a flashlight and a gun. The second game in the series is more like a survival horror game than its predecessor, with more intensive resource management.
This entry is pretty far from that The Last of Usthe survival action horror gameplay of Alan Wake 2 feels The Last of Usfeaturing two playable characters with unique stories (as is the case). The Last of Us Part II). Alan Wake 2 is a very entertaining horror experience and is worth playing for both those who love it The Last of Us and those who don't.

Powerful
Another survival horror game, Resident Evil 4 is the pinnacle of campy zombie video games. Once again played as a third-person horror game in which the player must search for ammunition by using stealth when resources are running low. Resident Evil 4 reminds me a little The Last of Us with a greater focus on action and spectacle.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition
Claustrophobic, apocalyptic horror

Strong
The last entry on this list is perhaps the furthest away The Last of Us both in setting and gameplay. Metro Exodus is a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter in which the player must survive in the harsh environment of a devastated Russia. In contrast to the first two games in the series, both of which are also worth playing, Exodus offers the player a selection of small open-world sections to explore and loot.
Although it's not specifically a zombie apocalypse, there are numerous non-human enemies in the game thanks to the metro Franchise set after a nuclear war. The desperate need to survive, searching for ammunition in a world wracked with destruction, is empowering Metro Exodus I feel related The Last of Usbut still different enough to be a worthwhile, unique experience.
