Survival in Green Hell is not easy. The jungle is not a friendly place. From jaguars that will rip players to pieces in seconds to a hostile tribe that will attack on sight, this game is not for the faint of heart. To survive, players will need a few things like water, food, tools, weapons, and a place to call home.

Construction of a shelter in Green Hell is important. There are many places where the player can establish a base; however, some places are better than others. The perfect place needs to have a good balance of providing players with natural resources, plenty of space to build, and very little enemy interference. 7 The Tutorial Camp

A quiet area with lots of flat land

• Location: 28 West, 33 South

This is the camp from Story Mode. The camp itself is not present in Survival Mode, however the flat land and clean drinking water source are still present. The river that flows along here is a freshwater sourceand you can drink from it without any worries. The area is quite large and offers a lot of flat land for building.

This base location is the perfect home to start the game with. It can even be upgraded into a more elaborate home with all the amenities of the jungle. Since this is the starting area for the story mode, there aren't many enemies wandering around this location, meaning the player can spend their days in relative peace.

6 A clearing on the slope

A good vantage point

• Location: 46 West, 19 South

At first glance, this area doesn't seem that interesting. However, if the player hikes to the top of the large hill, there is a nice open area next to a path that is great for building a small base. Although there isn't a lot of space in this location, the fact that the player has a decent view of the surrounding area makes it a great place to call home.

With clever placement, it is possible to build a fairly elaborate base in this area. There are usually a few animals roaming around this place, which makes finding food a little easier.

5 Hilly plains

Close to the water and away from the hustle and bustle

On the western side of the map, there is a nice, open clearing on the top of a hill. This area gives the player a great 360-degree view of the terrain below. Not only that, but just to the northeast of it, there is also a large body of water. This is ideal for hydration and feeding. This water source is often visited by jungle animals, making it a great place to hunt for food. In addition, There are coconut trees here, which are ideal for collecting water.

As for the building area, similar to the previous entry, it is not particularly large. However, the area is flat, so it is relatively easy to build on. While it is not the largest location available, it is just large enough to accommodate all the essential items a player needs to survive in jungle life.

4 An abandoned fishing station

Just north of the previous entry lies an abandoned fishing station. This is a pre-made structure that has some good stuff lying around for the player to use. There are a few beds including a hammock, a place to set up a campfire, and even a working water filter for players to use.

This location is perfect for those who prefer to move into a pre-made structure rather than building their own base from scratch. Since the fishing station is right on the river bank, players will have no trouble stocking up on water and food. The existing hut offers the player some cover from potential attackers coming from the south. Since it is right on the river, it also offers the player a quick escape route in case they need to leave in a hurry.

3 A small abandoned village

A great location for a second base

• Location: 52 West, 17 South

This small abandoned village is located very close to the abandoned fishing station. Although it doesn't have much to offer, the place is perfect as a replacement base. It is located halfway up a hill, giving players a good overview of possible attacks from below. In the small village there is a campfire and a bamboo smoker that the player can also use.

This area has plenty of bamboo, which is great for crafting. And since it's just a stone's throw from the abandoned fishing station, the player doesn't have to worry about water, as they have an infinite source nearby.

2 A well-defended area

Nearby cliffs offer some protection

This location is hidden at the base of some cliffs. The entire area is covered by these cliffs on three sides, meaning players only have to fear enemies coming from one direction. There is a small water source in the middle of this location, and although there are no food sources on site, many animals roam the nearby areas.

This area is stunning and easy to build on. Since the area is surrounded by large cliffs, players don't need to build much to make this place habitable.

1 A cave overlooking the water

A near perfect place to call home

• Location: 48 West, 16 South

This area looks like paradise. Unfortunately, although it looks incredible, it has one drawback: poisonous enemies. The cave is a spawn point for scorpions and spiders. These nasty creatures can be deadly and pest control can be a bit of a hassle. However, if the player is willing to put up with the pesky pests, this place is truly breathtaking.

Directly above the cave is a cliff that not only provides the player with shelter, but can also be built upon to expand the base. As for water, there is a small body right outside the cave that can be cooked and consumed. The land around the cave is also fairly clear of obstacles, allowing the player to expand their building further into the jungle.
