This article contains spoilers for the Shinjuku Showdown arc of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen is an incredibly popular manga that is currently nearing its end with only a few chapters left. As the story drew to a close, Japan was experiencing a newfound popularity, and it seemed like a good idea to find out what fans thought of all the characters.

Sukuna is arguably the most powerful character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and here are some of his most powerful abilities.
The various storylines in the story have made great strides, with some characters solidifying their place as favorites while others losing popularity. Here are the 10 most popular JJK Characters based on the 4th popularity poll.
10 Toji Fushiguro
The Wizard Killer
Toji Fushiguro is definitely one of the most popular characters and a popular antagonist in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. In the current Jujutsu Kaisen timeline, Toji, Megumi's father, is already dead. He was the antagonist in the “Gojo's Past” story arc.
Like Maki, he has no cursed energy. However, that doesn't stop him from being insanely powerful, as he almost killed Gojo before his final defeat. Toji was even brought back during Shibuya before killing himself upon seeing his son Megumi. Even though it's been a long time since he was relevant in history, 10th place isn't bad at all.
9 Sukuna
The King of Curses
Sukuna is the most powerful wizard to ever live and was the main villain in Jujutsu Kaisen. Sukuna is known as the King of Curses for good reason. His power was so incredible that it took the majority of the cast to finally defeat him.
Despite being the main villain, Sukuna only comes in 9th place, a position that seems pretty low for a character as important and relevant as him. Sukuna doesn't seem to be particularly popular and after his death, it's unlikely that fans will like him any more.
8 Nanami
A first degree wizard
Nanami is a character who lost her life during the events in Shibuya against Mahito. However, he previously played an important mentor role to Yuji and was overall a very popular character among fans.
He came in 8th, a well-deserved spot for a good character who died a few storylines ago.
7 Yuta Okkotsu
A wizard second only to Gojo
Yuta, the protagonist of JJK 0, makes it to 7th place in the poll, a place that might actually seem pretty low considering the important role he played in the story, especially against Sukuna.
Yuta was easily one of the greatest fighters to help defeat the King of Curses, Sukuna, and his skills are definitely some of the best in the series.
6 Choso
The strongest death painting
Choso ends up in 6th place, a pretty high position. Nevertheless, there is a huge gap between him and fifth place.
Choso is a widely popular character in JJK as he is Yuji's brother and plays an interesting role in some parts of the story. In particular, Choso's sacrifice to protect Yuji may have touched many fans.
5 Naoya Zenin
The Zenin prodigy
Naoya Zenin is the strangest character on this list. Naoya is a character who is defeated by Maki Zenin and dies before the Culling Game. He returns as a vengeful spirit and is exorcised by Maki again. Nevertheless, JJK's Japanese readers seem to have taken a liking to this rather unlikeable character.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Every Fatal Death in the Shinjuku Showdown
The Shinjuku Showdown is a very intense story arc with major deaths in JJK.
In fact, Naoya had almost twice as many votes as Choso, who ended up placing 6th. His high ranking in JJK polls is nothing new and something that always puzzles JJK readers, especially when Maki is nowhere in the top 10.
4 Suguru Geto
Gojo's best friend
Suguru Geto is a fan-favorite character, although he was dead for most of the story and is only seen alive in the story arc that covers Gojo's past JJK 0where he plays the role of the main villain.
Suguru was definitely one of the more interesting characters the series had to offer, especially due to his relationship with Gojo and his ideals. He came in a good fourth place, making him the most popular antagonist in JJK history.
3 Megumi Fushiguro
One of the main characters
Megumi Fushiguro is a character who enjoys great popularity despite being absent from a significant portion of the story's final arc. Megumi's body was taken over by Sukuna and she no longer took part in battles against Sukuna.
Megumi has always been a very popular character, winning some of the previous popularity polls. Megumi's character was never able to reach his full potential, which is quite a waste and disappointment for his fans.
2 Yuji Itadori
The protagonist of JJK
With second place, the series' main character, Yuji, is becoming increasingly popular among fans. Compared to the third-placed character Megumi, Yuji was clearly ahead with around 20,000 more votes. This is the first time since the first JJK popularity poll that Yuji beats Megumi.
Perhaps this is due to his involvement in the final arc, where he is a strong hitter against Sukuna, as well as Megumi's absence from the story.
1 Gojo Satoru
The strongest modern wizard
Unsurprisingly, the person who came first in this popularity poll was none other than Gojo Satoru, a man so powerful that he almost managed to defeat Sukuna on his own.
Gojo is the strongest modern wizard and has won the hearts of many fans with his incredible power and charming personality. He wins in a landslide, having more than twice as many votes as Yuji. His death definitely hit fans the hardest, and readers are still hoping for his comeback.
