Tekken 8 reveals Year 2 Pass and teases Anna Williams

Tekken 8 isn't going anywhere anytime soon. As revealed in a new three-minute trailer, the fighting game published by Bandai Namco will be receiving two major content updates in the coming months. The first, a winter update, will add new customization features as well as a Year 2 Character Pass, while the second, a spring update, will add new moves for all characters, among other things.

As revealed midway through the trailer, it appears that Anna Williams, sister of Nina, will be either the first member of the pass or at least an overall member. During the trailer, a helicopter can be seen coming into frame with a familiar red rose and a lipstick kiss before it starts attacking Nina.

This is as obvious as a teaser can be. Oddly enough, this isn't the first time Anna will be a DLC character for a Year 2 Pass, as she was also a Tekken 7 Year 2 character.

As for the rest of the pass, we'll have to wait a bit to see who's included.

So far, Tekken 8 is still in the process of rounding out its Year 1 Pass, with an announcement for the fourth and final character planned for Thursday's The Game Awards.

However, of the three fighters released, Tekken 8 fully addressed the fans' wishes. Eddy Gordo was the first member to start, while Lidia joined in the summer. Afterwards, Tekken sent fans into an uproar when it was revealed that Heihachi was actually still alive and would be added to the game. In addition, Tekken 8 also received some story DLC, the first time in a franchise. In other words, Tekken 8 did the best it could to keep fans connected to fan-favorite fighters, and Year 2 looks to continue that trend.
