Video games rarely emerge from development unscathed, as ideas that initially seemed plausible, feasible, and intriguing are ultimately eliminated from the final version of the game. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a game that, like every other game, couldn't avoid the cutting scissors. Fortunately, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Still, it turned out to be a huge success, which ultimately speaks well of Nintendo's decisions.
As surprising as it may be, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom In the end, there were several pieces of content cut before everything was said and done. Some of this content is fairly minor considering everything that made it into the final game, but there are probably a few cut parts that players might have wanted to see survive the cutting room floor. Included in the cut content for Tears of the Kingdom are additional cooking and armor effects, additional mountable horses that could be registered in a stable, unused items indicated by missing names and existing icons, and unused rooms in Tears of the KingdomIs Hyrule.
Several Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features ended up on the cutting room floor
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom originally had additional cooking and armor effects
One of the less significant parts of the cut content for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom includes some additional cooking and armor effects that never made it into the final game. The two unused cooking effects, TwiceJump and EmergencyAvoid, currently exist in name only, with no indication of what effects they had. However, it can be assumed that TwiceJump allowed Link to double jump for a short time, and that EmergencyAvoid may have initially allowed Link to automatically avoid a fatal blow while the effect was active.
An additional armor effect for Tears of the Kingdom never made it to the final, even though it was there Breath of the Wild. The AncientResistance effect has been applied Breath of the Wildis the ancient armor set that gave Link significant damage resistance against ancient weapons. As Breath of the WildThe version of the Ancient Armor set is not present in Tears of the KingdomThere is no reason for the effect to be implemented.
However, should players find and complete all 152 shrines?
Tears of the Kingdom
For their efforts, they will receive the Ancient Hero's Aspect, a single piece of armor very similar to the Ancient Armor set
Breath of the Wild

Originally, players in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom were allowed to mount and register additional horses
Perhaps the most significant piece of content that never made it into the final version of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is that players were originally allowed to mount and register additional horses in the game. First, players can mount a Stalhorse in the current format Tears of the Kingdom but I can't register it in a stable. This is unfortunate considering that Stalhorses allow players to ride across gloom without taking damage, but it may also have made the depths a little too easy to navigate.
Additionally, the Lord of the Mountain was originally a mount that could also be registered in a stable before the whole idea ended up on the cutting room floor. It was possible for players to climb the Lord of the Mountain Breath of the Wildeven though they couldn't register it. In Tears of the KingdomHowever, players can only summon the Lord of the Mountain by offering fruit to one of the satori trees scattered throughout Hyrule. It will then appear in a cutscene, but cannot be mounted.
Unused symbols and names suggest that some items never made it into Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Another portion of the cut content is simply unused symbols and names, suggesting that some items were never actually anything Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis the final build. First, there is an unused Zonai device dispenser for Tears of the Kingdom This had a 20% chance of dropping a beam emitter, a 20% chance of dropping a sled, a 30% chance of dropping a mirror, a 15% chance of dropping a fan, and a 15% chance of dropping a small wheel. Second, a missing element called “Energy_Material_02” suggests that there was originally a medium crystallized charge, providing a charge between the regular and large crystallized charges.
…the Lord of the Mountain was originally a mount that could also be registered in a stable before the whole idea ended up on the cutting room floor.
An item named “Item_Ore_K” is missing from Tears of the Kingdombut it is unclear what it might have been. There is also an unused icon for Item_Ore_N, which shows a bundle of green and gold ingots similar to Zonai technology. In addition, at least five of them are missing from the list Tears of the KingdomThe paraglider stuff never made it into the final game, but it's impossible to know what they were.
In the final cut of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, several rooms were left unused
There are several unused rooms Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Glitches and mods have given players access. At the top of Hyrule Castle's main tower, players can find an unused room through a closed door. There is also an unused space behind the Fashion Passion Shop in Gerudo Town Tears of the Kingdom. Although both rooms were unused Tears of the KingdomHowever, they were both present Breath of the Wild and have retained their original models in the sequel.
There is also an unused cave Tears of the Kingdom that was available and usable Breath of the Wild. Players can find the cave near the Samasa Plains, outside the playing field behind a rock wall. The cave was completely accessible Breath of the Wildeven though there was nothing in it. These unused areas in Tears of the Kingdom are clear evidence that Nintendo used Breath of the WildI took the model from Hyrule and simply tweaked it to fit Tears of the Kingdom's narrative.
