Spin-off “Reaching Its Climax”
But for those who have enjoyed stories that expand the series' history and universe, Team-up mission is another farewell they will soon have to deal with, as The series will culminate in the next issue of Saikyo Jump, scheduled for January 4, 2025.
“Climax” is what Japanese manga usually refers to as the final phase of a story. This doesn't necessarily mean the final chapter itself, but the story will reach its climax and eventually have some follow-up chapters to resolve remaining issues. This means the series will end soon, but not necessarily next month.
Team-up mission creator and story
Team Up Mission is serialized by Yoco Akiyamawho had previously worked in other My Hero Academia spin-offs such as:e “Everyone is someone’s hero” One-Shot (focused on Two heroes'Original figure Melissa Shield) and My Heroine Academy Gag manga. It's on Shueisha Saikyo jump Magazine since 2019, with over 50 chapters and 7 volumes to date.
The plot deals with the Team-Up Missions program where various students from multiple schools work together with Hero Offices to maintain peace in the cities. In this spin-off, aspiring heroes, including the main characters from the original story, embark on multiple missions, but no one knows who is working with whom. This would allow heroes, old and new characters, all to work together on the same mission.
Even original characters from the films (including Melissa) appear in this story, and it's perhaps not absurd to imagine that the final chapters could reference the finale of the original manga.
