Acheron is one of the most unique characters in Honkai: Star Rail So far, both in terms of gameplay and presentation. Instead of dealing debuffs like everyone else on the Path of Nihility, it deals direct damage that becomes much more powerful once the right conditions are met.

Despite her absurd combat abilities throughout the story, Acheron's overall effectiveness still depends on which team players she is placed on. Pela is arguably the best support character for Acheron, as he relies on dealing damage with his attacks rather than DoTs. Unlike most of HSR's other Nihility characters, Acheron functions more like a hunting or destruction character in terms of the way she scales her damage. In particular, she benefits more from gaining CRIT buffs on herself and DEF reduction debuffs on her enemies.

Bronya's ability to change turn orders makes her a great match for Acheron. Additionally, Bronya's ultimate gives Acheron some much-needed additional CRIT damage. Round out the team with a sustain unit of your choice – Fu Xuan is a good candidate as she provides an additional CRIT rate. She will be even more valuable if she has Trend of the Universal Market equipped, as Burn and other DoT effects count as debuffs.
