So far all playable characters have been confirmed

PlayStation's September 2024 State of Play revealed several new projects and updates to existing projects, including LEGO Horizon Adventures. Here, Sony released a third pre-order trailer for the upcoming LEGO game, in addition to the official release date of November 14th later this year. The trailer revealed that people would be pre-ordering LEGO Horizon AdventuresIn the Digital Deluxe Edition, they gain access to a Nora Coaster customization, a Banuk Armor outfit, a Shield Weaver outfit and more. In addition to new cosmetic items for players and Mother's Heart, the new trailer seemingly confirmed that players will be able to try out some new playable characters this holiday season.

LEGO Horizon Adventures could be a great refresher before Horizon 3

This holiday season, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch players can experience the Horizon world in a new light with LEGO Horizon Adventures. As the fourth entry in the Horizon series, this game is intended to appeal to both newcomers and long-time fans, without requiring any prior knowledge of the previous titles. However, the story is expected to retell the events of Horizon Zero Dawn in LEGO's trademark humorous style. With Horizon 3 still years away, LEGO Horizon Adventures offers a fun way to revisit key story moments from the original game.

The first playable characters from LEGO Horizon Adventures

When LEGO Horizon Adventures was first officially announced in June. Two trailers showed how the LEGO version of the post-apocalyptic West of the United States would play out and who would inhabit it. horizonThe iconic animal-like machines from have returned along with some of them in fun LEGO forms horizonare the more notable human protagonists and supporting characters. Of course, Aloy returned in LEGO form and acted as the player's primary avatar, but she won't be making this trip alone. She is accompanied by her Nora tribemate Varl horizonis the first co-op player, as LEGO Horizon Adventures will be the first game in the series to feature both local and online multiplayer.

Horizon AdventuresHowever, the early trailers showed off more than just Aloy and Varl as playable options. Another member of the Nora tribe can join Aloy in her more playful LEGO version Horizon Zero Dawn: Teersa. Teersa, a High Matriarch of Nora, was one of the few members of the tribe who was kind to Aloy from her childhood into adulthood. In addition to Teersa, players can also embody the comedic Oseram and Carja Vanguard member Erend LEGO Horizon Adventures. Along with Varl, Erend is one of Aloy's closest and most devoted friends.

More playable characters in LEGO Horizon Adventures

The latest Horizon Adventures The trailer showed off several new cosmetic options for Aloy and her friends, including Ratchet and Sackboy outfits, but some new playable characters may also have been confirmed for the game. About halfway through the trailer, a clip shows Aloy, Varl, Teersa, and Erend sitting with Sylens, presumably celebrating a newly formed plan. Since four of these five have already been confirmed as playable characters, it would make sense for Sylens to join the roster as the fifth member of the party, or at least one that is unlocked later in the game.

Sylens rarely played a direct role with Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawnbut Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo could easily rework parts of Zero Dawn's story to allow players to embody Sylens multiple times. In addition to Sylens, the trailer also featured an “Alloy” Aloy along with other Aloys dressed as Ratchet, Rivet, and Sackboy. This could suggest that players could impersonate multiple Aloy avatars at once, as long as they wear different outfits. Most of these outfits are not tied to specific characters, as Erend was briefly seen donning the Ratchet outfit in the trailer.

Possible playable characters in LEGO Horizon Adventures

While LEGO Horizon Adventures is not being developed by TT Games, LEGO's former lead game developer, but could still utilize some of those games' traditional mechanics for finding and unlocking playable characters. In these games, several enemies and NPCs would become playable in the main campaign if purchased or unlocked after completing certain levels. Guerrilla and Studio Gobo may implement a similar system to later give players the opportunity to play as characters like Sun King Avad, Helis, Rost, and Teb, who all appear in Horizon Adventures' various trailers. If LEGO Horizon Adventures Plays somewhat similar to TT's LEGO games, potentially every character in the game could become playable at some point.
