So many fans of Hxh You know that the series had an adaptation in front of the very famous, which took place in 2011. The adaptation of 1999 was the first time Hxh Was made an anime, and at that time there was even less content to animate.
For this reason, the studio planned to end their own ending to wrap the story, similar to that happens to the original Vollmetall alchemist: Brotherhood Anime, but that never happened because Togashi, Hxhs Mangaka refused.
Instead, the history of the 1999 anime stopped when the content ends and later for a few Ovas later. To be precise, this would happen in 2001, and during this time Togashi had not even concluded the York Shin Bogen in the manga, for which this end would be.
What was planned for this end of the 1999 anime would have been quite bizarre for many characters, and all of this was planned by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, the director of the anime. There are even storyboards of what would happen.
At the beginning, Kurapika's story would close with him when he killed the phantom force, and he would lose one of his eyes and then die.
Gon about Kurapika's death sad to Whale Island, his hometown, where he would mourn. There he would find both kite and went. Killua, on the other hand, would return to Kukuroo Mountain. 7 years would pass.
Then Killua went to Gons Heimatinsel Whale Island to kill. Gon was of course against Killua in his goal to kill his father, but Killua killed Gon.
So the 1999 HXH anime would have ended, Togashi would not have rejected him against this end, which obviously contradicts his vision.
