Over the course of two (admittedly fairly large) video games, this became Red Dead Redemption The series has created an incredibly vibrant world. This world is filled with realistic characters and interwoven dynamics, busy locations, and a handful of memorable factions, all heavily inspired by real-world history.
Access to real world history gives Red Dead Redemption an extra layer of authenticity, and that authenticity makes the world seem even more immersive. This is especially true when these very real historical elements are directly linked to the content of the story, such as in the case of Red Dead Redemptionis the Pinkerton Detective Agency, a faction with a hypothetical future Red Dead Redemption 3 could turn upside down.

Red Dead Redemption 3 should make an important change to Honor
Red Dead Redemption 3's honor system may borrow a lot from previous games, but there is one change that would prove extremely beneficial.
Red Dead Redemption 3 could turn the Pinkerton Agency upside down
The Pinkertons were a major antagonistic force in the Red Dead Redemption series
The Pinkerton Detective Agency, a real-life organization founded by Allan Pinkerton in 1850, was a private security and investigative firm that rose to fame in the 1860s when it was commissioned by President Abraham Lincoln to carry out espionage missions against the United States during the American Civil War Confederate forces conduct war.
In Red Dead Redemption and its sequel, the Pinkerton Detective Agency, features a prominent, antagonistic role, with two of its core members – Agent Milton and Agent Ross – attempting to drive outlaws from the West, a task that leads them into direct confrontation with Van der Linde gear. In Red Dead Redemption 2The Pinkertons chase Arthur Morgan and the rest of the gang across the West after being hired by Leviticus Cornwall to capture Dutch after the gang robbed one of his trains.
While the Pinkertons fail to capture any of the Van der Linde gang alive in 1899, Agent Ross returns a decade later to finish the job. He captures John Marston's family and blackmails the former outlaw into hunting down his former gangmates. Although Marston obeys Ross's orders, he never sees the freedom he was promised. With everything Red Dead RedemptionSince the protagonists are outlaws, the Pinkerton Detective Agency is clearly portrayed as the overarching villain of the series, overtly representing the new type of law that threatens their way of life.
Red Dead Redemption 3 could give the Pinkertons an interesting new twist
But Red Dead Redemption 3 could turn fans' perception of the Pinkerton Agency on its head by having players take on the role of a Pinkerton agent. The game could start as a kind of Wild West version LA Noirein which players investigate various crimes and hunt down the outlaws responsible.
That would give Red Dead Redemption 3 the unique opportunity to show what it looks like on the other side of the fence. Thrilling train robberies and daring bank robberies might not look so impressive when confronted head-on with the innocent lives lost in their wake.
Rockstar may be a little hesitant to base an entire game around the Pinkerton Detective Agency after the real-life organization's failure to sue the publisher in January 2019 RDR2's negative portrayal of the agency.
With Red Dead Redemption 1 And 2 Both focus on themes such as urbanization and the sudden demise of the Wild West from an outlaw's perspective. However, for the third entry, it might be interesting to explore the completely opposite perspective, where increasing urbanization means more peace, at least in the mind of the player-character at the start of the game.
