Pokémon Scarlet and Violet announced two Halloween events for trainers to participate in. A five-star Tera raid against Gengar and a mass outbreak of Ghost-type Pokémon like Gastly and Misdreavus will go live Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in the last days of October.

Gengar, known as the Shadow Pokémon, first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue as the final development of Gastly and Haunter. As a dual-type Spirit and Poison creature, Gengar also received a Mega Evolution form in 1999 Pokémon X and Y and a Gigantamax form in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Although other Ghost-type Pokémon were introduced in later generations, Gengar remains popular among Pokémon Trainers. As a result, Razer introduced a Gengar version of its popular Kraken V3 X headset. However, at the time of writing, the Razer Gengar headset is exclusively available in China.

After two events in mid-October Pokémon Scarlet and VioletThe land of Paldea will see an abundance of Ghost-type Pokémon in the final days of the month. According to Serebii.net, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will host a five-star Tera raid event against Gengar, whose Tera type will be Ghost type. Additionally, during a mass Ghost Pokémon outbreak involving Gastly, Misdreavus, Shuppet, and Bramblin, there is an increased chance of encountering these four Pokémon throughout Paldea. The Ghost Pokemon Halloween event begins on Sunday, October 27th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time and ends on Thursday, October 31st at 7:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The 5-star Tera Raid battle will take place Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Players against a level 75 Gengar with the Cursed Body ability, which can randomly disable a move used against them for a few turns. Gengar can also use moves such as Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, and Nasty Plot during battle. However, a level 100 Dark Pokémon like Incineroar should be able to deal with it quickly.



Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Halloween Event Details (October 27-31)

Such a sandwich can be prepared from a red onion, a salty Herba Mystica and a spicy or sour Herba Mystica.

Both the Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak events will provide opportunities for this Pokemon Trainers to catch shiny versions of their favorite spirit types. It remains to be seen what Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have planned for the rest of 2024.
