A decent portion of these complaints were is aimed at the PlayStation Direct Storewhich reportedly kicked people out of queues that were still being served.
Aside from frustration over missing out on PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection products, some fans have also voiced criticism of Sony for not doing more to prevent scalping in response to the trailer. For reference, the jewel of the collection, the PS5 Pro bundle, is currently selling on eBay for up to $13,750, a markup of 1,276%. Several ongoing eBay auctions for the package have also already received bids in excess of $5,000 as of September 28, although it is currently unclear whether the offers they have received are legitimate.
Although these comments have received limited response on Twitter, they still only represent a small minority of reactions The Last of Us Season 2 trailers, most of which actually refer to the second season of the series, which is currently on track to premiere in 2025. Whatever the case, this turn of events makes it clear that some PlayStation fans are not happy with the way pre-orders for the 30th Anniversary Collection have been processed.
Adding to their frustration are recent reports that some pre-orders for the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition have been canceled without explanation. Those lucky enough to snag a pre-order can expect their new PS1-style console bundle to arrive on November 21st.
