Mythic weapon skins are a new type of premium cosmetic introduced in Season 11 of Overwatch 2. Reinhardt, Ana and Soldier: 76 have been released alongside mid-season patches in the past and have each already received their own Mythic weapon skins.

Overwatch 2 is celebrating the launch of its mid-season 14 update with some free cosmetics that players can obtain by simply watching streamers on Twitch.

Lead Rose is an elegant pink viper and matching dynamite and bouquet coach gun who combines her aristocratic upbringing with her role as leader of the outlaw Deadlock Gang. Players who unlock the full suite of upgrades for Lead Rose can enjoy special sound effects and an evolving HUD, flowers blooming on the kill-striped rifle, and a weapon swing that causes Ashe to throw a rose. Featuring an on-kill effect with an explosion of rose petals, lead rose highlights Ashe's femme fatale personality.

Like previous Mythic weapon skins Overwatch 2Lead Rose can be obtained in one of two ways: by spending Mythic Prisms for the four unlockable tiers, or directly for $40 in a bundle that includes 20 Battle Pass tier jumps. The base version of the weapon costs 50 Mythic Prisms, with each of the three upgrades costing an additional 10, for a total of 80 Mythic Prisms – the same amount obtained by completing a single season's Premium Battle Pass.

Unfortunately, with the addition of a Mythic hero and weapon skin each season, fans can't keep up with the 160 Mythic Prisms required to purchase each Mythic cosmetic with the Premium Battle Pass alone – especially considering Overwatch 2 also added Mythic Aspects in Season 13 to further boost their bi-monthly Mythic Prism stipends. Luckily, unlike Mythic Hero skins, which leave the shop for two seasons after their launch, Mythic weapon skins and Mythic Aspects remain indefinitely, meaning players will always have something to spend the currency on. However, with this new trend, fans will have to be more discerning about which Mythic skins they want to purchase.
