Elbaf has brought some of the most exciting information to fans in recent months and continues to deliver one exciting piece of lore after another with each chapter. For the first time ever, Oda has given fans a glimpse of what the original Sun God looked like.

Nika can bring liberation or destruction
The sun god Nika is a concept that most fans like One piece knows it very well now. He is one of One Piece's most revered gods and for good reason. Nika was first introduced in history through the character of Who's Who and proved to be a deity that was very dear to the slaves. When Who's Who was thrown into prison for his failure to protect the Gomu Gomu no Mi, he was mockingly asked by the guard to pray to the Sun God for salvation. This is because all slaves in the Holy Land of Marijoa pray to the Sun God and believe that one day he will appear and free them from their misery and from their chains, bringing laughter and joy to their faces. Nika is supposed to be the warrior of liberation – a man who has a booming and infectious laugh – and a guy with a rubber body who can do pretty much anything he wants. He is unpredictable in battle and is only limited by his own imagination. He has the most ridiculous power in the entire world, and that is the power that Luffy currently wields through Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.
According to Harley, our world has already been destroyed twice. – Jarul
One Piece's Elbaf arc gave fans a lot of insight into Nika. This not only confirmed the fact that Nika has her own personality in the fruit and ultimately chose Luffy, but also showed the fact that there were two different Nika before Luffy. The other Nika that fans know is, of course, Joy Boy. He existed during the Void Century and was born in the magnificent and bountiful Old Kingdom. He was the first pirate to ever venture to the sea and the greatest threat to the countries of the world, who eventually banded together into a group called the Alliance to defeat the ancient kingdom.
But long before the Old Kingdom and Joy Boy, there was another Nika, and this was the first and original Sun God. Vegapunk confirmed to fans that this sun god had his roots in Elbaf, meaning he was a giant born in that land.

Oda finally shows fans the original Sun God
Fans didn't know if Oda would ever show them the real sun god Nika's design. However, One Piece Chapter 1136 was absolutely significant in this regard. In the Elbaf arc of the story, fans were able to see the true sun god for the first time. It's no surprise to know that the Sun God commands great respect in the land of giants. He is, after all, their only deity. According to the ancient giant writings called Harley, which apparently have multiple translations, the world of One Piece was destroyed twice in the past. Every time the world was destroyed, the name of the sun god Nika was invoked – meaning that Nika herself is synonymous with the destruction of the world.
Nika always comes into the world in times of great need! – Clapping
Even then, the giants of Elbaf don't know whether Nika is the one who destroyed the world or saved it. What they do know is that Nika always shows up when the world is about to change a lot. It is precisely for this reason that the rulers of the world fear the appearance of Nika, as it means the destruction of the world order.

One Piece: Why the Sun God Will Destroy the World
The sun god could be a destroyer. Why he could destroy the One Piece world is a mystery.
In the same chapter, fans were able to see the sun god Nika for the first time through the character Jarul. The original Sun God wore nothing more than a lion scarf around his waist and a sash over it, like Luffy does. He has white clouds around his neck, symbolizing the power of Nika, as well as long white hair, much longer than Luffy's. All of his clothing is said to be white, which is familiar to fans through Luffy. A big difference between Nika and Luffy is that the original Nika carries a sword and a shield. In one hand Nika wields a sword like a dagger and in the other he carries a shield – probably the Svallin Sunshield. Just like Luffy, this Nika strikes the same pose and can also be seen with a huge smile on her face. This is clearly the original Sun God that fans are dying to see more of.
Who did the original Nika fight against long ago?
The real Nika could have fought against the enemy of the world
It is unknown who the real Nika fought long ago, but it is clear that his appearance was actually due to a catastrophe. Nika only appears when the world is about to change dramatically. Additionally, Nika oversaw the destruction of the world twice – once by Joy Boy and once by the original Sun God. Fans already know that the World Government was responsible for the destruction of the world 900 years ago. But there is no explanation for how and why the world was destroyed long ago. Perhaps the giant snake popular in Elbaf mythology, mentioned long ago by Dorry and Brogy, was the enemy of the real Nika. Or it could have been the Sea God himself, whose reincarnation could be Imu, just like Luffy possesses the power of the Nika Fruit. One thing is clear: there are many secrets that still need to be revealed One piece and it's getting more and more exciting.
