One piece has officially entered the final saga following the conclusion of the Wano Country arc, and the gateway to that saga, namely Egghead Island, is also now complete. With the conclusion of the Egghead Island arc, fans know that there are still some exciting events to come in the future, and fans are eagerly anticipating the massive war to come, the trigger of which could have already been pulled.

The biggest war in One Piece that fans have seen so far is quite simply the Paramount War. This Paramount War occurred just before the time skip and after the battle between Ace and Blackbeard. Ace, who set out to bring Blackbeard to justice for Thatch's murder, was eventually defeated and turned over to the Marines. Knowing the secrets of his lineage, the Navy ordered a public execution for him, which resulted in Whitebeard, captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and the strongest man in the world, attacking the Navy headquarters with his 43 allied ships. The Paramount War was absolutely breathtaking and took One Piece to a new level. In fact, immediately after this war, One Piece experienced a rapid surge in popularity, and manga sales also skyrocketed. The Paramount War was clearly the biggest in One Piece and it also gave Marineford an arc that cemented his status as one of the best in the history of anime and manga in general.

Another war that fans recently saw in One Piece was of course the War of Onigashima. In terms of character writing, tension, and pretty much every other aspect of storytelling, the Wano War was pretty similar to the Paramount War. In fact, when you look at the entire arc, Wano even surpasses Marineford for many people, but the water itself may not be as big as the Paramount War.

The Supreme War ended with the deaths of Whitebeard and Ace, and at the same time Blackbeard began his rise to become emperor. Meanwhile, the Wano War ended with the defeat of Kaido and Big Mom and the appearance of two new emperors in Luffy and Buggy. Obviously these wars were breathtaking in what they had to offer, but they were also not the greatest wars of all One piece.

In sheer scale, the war waged between the Old Kingdom and the Founding Fathers of the 1920s was much larger. Unfortunately, fans haven't seen this war yet, but at some point in the future Oda will surely elaborate on it. Now, One piece is in the final saga, meaning Oda is sure to illustrate an incredible arc that he himself claimed will surpass even Marineford. In fact, that trigger for this war may have already been pulled.

The upcoming biggest one-piece war will be massive

Dragon and the Revolutionary Army at the forefront of the coming war

The impending war in One piece will begin sooner than fans can imagine. As fans know, the upcoming war will be against the World Government and the rulers of the world. This war will also likely lead to World War I, which even Whitebeard predicted at the time of the Summit War. The foundation for the coming war has already been laid in history. As fans know, the Revolutionary Army recently attacked the Holy Land of Marijoa, setting fire to the symbol of the Celestial Dragons, burning their granaries, freeing the slaves and, most importantly, laying siege to the Holy Land. This means that the world government is now forced to act, and it will certainly do so.

As Dragon himself made clear, the World Government will send the Holy Knights, who until recently were led by none other than Saint Garling Figarland. The Revolutionary Army is preparing for an all-out war, and this war will be enormous in scale.

Now, it may seem to fans that this war will be limited to a battle between the Revolutionary Army and the Holy Knights. However, when the Holy Knights mobilize, so will the Marines, the military face of the government. This war will certainly not be small, even if it is just beginning, and it will only fuel an even larger event that will likely lead to One Piece's Great War. This is exactly what will make the final saga of One Piece special, as Oda himself claimed that he has incredible plans for it.

Oda is preparing for a war bigger than Marineford

The impending great war is just around the corner

As fans know, Oda long ago revealed that Marineford won't even be the biggest war in One Piece and that he has something much bigger planned for the Final Saga. The final saga is just upon fans and the war against their revolutionary army is about to begin.

One thing that motivates me to continue drawing One Piece is that I want to draw the final saga. The final saga will be so amazing that the Marineford arc will look like nothing. The Marineford arch was just a side trip for me. I didn't expect it to be so popular. – Eiichiro Oda

With this, fans can be sure that the Straw Hat Pirates will get involved in this war one way or another. This could be a battle between the Cross Guild and the Marines, who are on opposite ends, or a grand alliance led by Luffy after he gets close to it One piece and claims the treasure for himself. All of these things will lead to a major war against the World Government that will change the face of the world forever. It will be a war involving the most ancient weapons, the strongest characters and, above all, the most exciting storylines, which just goes to show that it will finally surpass even the Paramount War.
