According to Spotify rankings “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” was the most played song in Japan in 2024. Still, “Creepy Nuts” isn’t included in the most played artists rankings, so it’s more like people mostly listened to that particular song. This is not uncommon: Sabrina Carpenter's “Expresso” took first place on Spotify's global most played songs list, but is also not in the top artist rankings.
“Rairakku” (Ms. GREEN APPLE) and “Ikuokukonen” (Omoinotake) took second and third place respectively. Ms. GREEN APPLE was the top band/artist in the Japanese audience.
Mashle: Magic and Muscle History and Anime
Mashle Anime adapts Hajime Komoto's manga of the same name, published in Shonen Jump from 2020 to 2023. All 18 volumes are published in the USA by VIZ Media. “Mashle” is reminiscent of the way Japanese people would pronounce the English word “muscle,” which fits the plot: it is set in a world full of magic, as it is the magical abilities that determine people's social status. In this scenario, Mash Burnedead is raised by his adoptive father Regro, who makes him train hard so that his physical strength is excellent. But one day he has to enroll at a magic school. The catch is: he has no magical abilities at all, so he has to prove that his muscles can handle any magic.
