Despite all the praise, the game is not without its flaws. Marvel Rivals It lacks any sort of role queue, and while this isn't necessarily a flaw in itself, it does exacerbate the one-sided nature of the game's current roster. Marvel Rivals is dominated by Duelists, with Strategists and Vanguards desperately needing some new additions. Luckily, there are more than a few characters in the Marvel Multiverse who could be up to the challenge.

Marvel Rivals could have great potential with future Vanguard heroes
Ms. Marvel could offer an avant-garde version of Stretchy Powers
Ms. Marvel is one of the most popular characters Marvel has introduced in recent years, making her potential inclusion in Marvel Rivals feel like a foregone conclusion. Leaks suggest that Mr. Fantastic will be playable in Marvel Rivalsand one would think the similarity between Ms. Marvel's abilities might disqualify her. However, developers still have plenty of opportunities to highlight and give away Ms. Marvel Marvel Rivals the Vanguard it needs.
While Mr. Fantastic's powers focus primarily on stretching, Ms. Marvel herself describes her ability as “embiggening.” This could easily lead to her increasing the size of her body to ward off damage and give herself additional health. Ms. Marvel could also perform crowd control with her embiggening powers, luring enemies for her allies to finish them off or stunning them with one punch from a giant fist.
Ghost Rider could take revenge on enemy duelists
At first glance, Ghost Rider seems to fit the role of damage dealer better Marvel Rivals' Duelists. Ghost Rider could easily inspire a unique design and comes from a corner of the Marvel multiverse that definitely deserves more representation Marvel Rivals.
Ghost Rider is commonly known as “The Spirit of Vengeance” and this could be the perfect inspiration for his gear Marvel Rivals. Ghost Rider could use his Penitential Stare to punish enemies that his teammates have defeated, and possibly even revive a teammate. Sentry's inclusion in Marvel Rivals would be perfectly timed
Sentry is one of many possible options for future Vanguards Marvel Rivals. Some characters seem to stand out more due to their unique abilities or simply because they are more well known. However, thanks to another upcoming Marvel project, Sentry manages to rise to the top.
lightning* Sentry is part of his ensemble and is currently scheduled for release in May 2025. The connection potential is obvious, but Sentry has much more to offer than that. Sentry's Superman-like abilities would be unlike anything else seen in the cast. Likewise, his malevolent “Void” personality would be perfect material for an ultimate or alternate form and would certainly invoke a level of intimidation befitting any Vanguard.
Marvel heroes and villains must fight for a place on the Marvel Rivals roster
This is hardly the extent of the heroes and villains that could fit into the role of a vanguard Marvel Rivals. In fact, there are literally too many to name. Captain Marvel would fit right in and it would be a joy to see Ms. Marvel fighting alongside her idol. There are many other Marvel heroines who could also be considered for Vanguards, such as Armor, She-Hulk and Moon Girl, all of whom have defensive skills that are perfect for the job.
Juggernaut and Colossus seem to be obvious favorites, with Kitty Pryde being a rather underrated choice for this role. Plenty of Marvel villains are bulky enough to fit the Vanguard stereotype, with Dracula and Knull already hinted at Marvel Rivals' Story. Likewise, The Thing appears to have been leaked as an upcoming Vanguard. Of course, not everyone can find their place Marvel Rivalsbut one can only hope that those who make it add an extra dose of diversity to an already ambitious squad.
