Her first role in the series suggests that she is highly psychotic and willing to do anything to get to Koichi Hirose, her lover, including kidnapping and killing him. Due to her very violent tendencies, not many like Yukako and even Koichi becomes suspicious of her.

But according to Josuke, the protagonist of Diamond is unbreakable defeats her, Koichi saves and accepts her, and she turns from her dangerous ways. Despite her less than ideal attitude, as she and Koichi love each other, Josuke accepts her and the two seem to get along. As a character, Yukako also possesses a stand that allows her to manipulate her hair.
