Before the publication of Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power StrugglesAspyr has announced that Jar Jar Binks will be a playable character in the game. Jedi power struggles already contained a varied list of playable characters. However, the bumbling Gungan is probably one of the more surprising additions to fans in the new version.
Published in 2000, Jedi power struggles featured iconic characters and locations from the time of Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace. To capitalize on the nostalgia of the original, Aspyr has announced plans to release a new version Jedi power strugglesand brings fans some additional content to explore. In addition to features like the ability to switch lightsaber colors and support for cheat codes, players will be able to take control of several new characters, the most recently announced being Jar Jar Binks.

While some fans may have unrealistically hoped that the character would use a red lightsaber and adopt the infamous Darth Jar-Jar persona from fan theories, in the game he appears to attack with a large staff. Additionally, he has various chaotic lines of speech that one would expect from the clumsy character. Jar Jar Binks will be playable at launch Jedi power struggles will be released on January 23rd, but fans can already pre-order the game.

It's worth noting that Aspyr is adding many more playable characters to the game with its upcoming release on modern platforms. In addition to Jar Jar Binks, the developer has revealed nine other new playable characters Jedi power strugglesand several more are expected to be announced. These additions include some variety, such as the recognizable Staff Tusken Raider and Rodian. Several droid types also become playable, including Flame Droid, Destroyer Droid, and Gun Droid. In fact, Jar Jar Binks isn't the first of his kind to be announced for the game, as the Gungan Guard is also said to be playable.
