It may not always be “cool” or “fashionable” to wear anime -characted clothing, regardless of whether they are in Japan or not. But sometimes the stereotype is that frightened all clothes with anime theme. This is one of these times. A Japanese fashion brand called Near Mind, which often works with franchises in pop culture, has just released a number of new clothing based on Attack on Titan – and in particular the jackets stand out.
The brand terminated its new line from Attack on Titan Clothing about the Japanese news website Pr times last week, just one day before the articles sold online. Everything in the Attack on Titan Line was available on January 29 on the Never Minds website. While there are also thematic T-shirts and hoodies in the line-up, the souvenir jackets are probably the coolest.

Take off from the crowd
With the international popularity of Attack on TitanIt is no surprise that the franchise has been inspiration for countless fashion lines over the years. There have been T-shirts from Japanese comfortable fashion brand Uniqlo more than once, and you can find Attack on Titan T-shirts in Pop Culture Supply stores such as Hot Topic and HMV outside of Japan. Most often, however, they were only T-shirts with anime characters or the anime logo that are comfortable but are not exactly the most modern fashion.
The two reversible jackets created by wife are in their own league when it comes to Otaku fashion. This Attack on Titan Jackets are a very specific type of jacket in Japan, which is referred to as “Sukajan” or a souvenir jacket. They are characterized by elaborate designs on the back, which are usually embroidered and are usually made from shiny, striking materials and colors, the body of the jacket and the arms of different colors. While Souvenir jacket designs traditionally concentrated on Japanese motifs such as Mt. Fuji, cranes and cherry blossoms, they have also become increasingly popular for pop culture.
These two special jackets are reversible, another feature that many souvenir jackets have so that you can decide which side you show based on your mood. The first has a black and golden side, with Eren and Mikasa, as they appeared in the first season Attack on Titan swings along the back of the jacket and leaves a trace of cherry blossoms in the tip. The back is a striking red and black, with the colossal titanium reaching its hand threatening to the viewer. It costs 49,500 yen ($ 320).
The design of the second jacket is also black and gold on the first page, but instead shows Levi on the back, as it appeared in season 1. There are lines of “movement” from his weapons to give Levi the appearance of the movement. The other side of this jacket is a bit more subtle and deals with the shiny fabric for a matt olive green. The symbol of the Survey Corps is located on the back of this page and also on the arms. It costs 43,780 yen ($ 283).

Cooler but comfortable attack on Titan clothing
For the less striking types
If you are looking for something that is a little more convenient and a little less noticeable, no matter a few T-shirts and a hoodie together with the souvenir jackets. They still have cool, interesting designs of the characters and are a little easier on the wallet – although they would also look well -layered under one of the souvenir jackets for a complete look.
The two hoodies are both black. One has Eren in a couched position on his back, ready to attack, and the other has both Eren and Mikasa. The second has the training corps symbol on the sleeves, while the first has the Survey Corps logo alongside the bonnet. There are also two different S-shirt designs, and everyone is delivered either on a black or white base. One has the same design of the colossal titanium from the first souvenir jacket, and the other has a new design with Eren, Levi and Mikasa in an attacking pose.
