How to reduce Frostland team requirements
Frostpunk 2 takes you to a frozen post-apocalyptic world where you must lead a city through harsh winters and make difficult decisions to ensure the survival of your population. While your city is your main focus, at some point you will have to venture into the unknown to search for resources. To travel to the Frostlands you need special units called Frostland Teams. This guide describes how to get more Frostland teams to explore and settle the frozen landscape in Frostpunk 2.
How to get more Frostland teams in Frostpunk 2
Frostland Teams in Frostpunk 2 can only be recruited by Logistics districts. These buildings are responsible for sending mapping expeditions to Frostland and transferring resources between the city and its colonies.
The problem is, Logistics districts can only be built on old intermediate stations. These are located on the outer edges of your settlement's territory, meaning you'll need Frostbreak to reach these spots before construction can begin.
First you will receive ten Frostland teams by building a Logistics District, which is enough to explore the surrounding areas. However, as your city grows and your needs increase, you will need to build more Logistics Districts to recruit more teams. You also have the option to upgrade your Logistics Districts, which will then grant you: 15 Frostland teams per district.
An extended logistics district has two building spaces where you can place Logistics bays. Each logistics bay offers the potential for an additional 15 Frostland teams. With two logistics bays in an extended district, you get a total of 45 Frostland teams.
There are two types of logistics bays you can build Frostpunk 2:
Automated bay
Automated logistics bays are based on the use of machines to manufacture equipment, reducing the workforce to 500. These bays are more efficient and require less storage space. They also generate additional 15 Frostland teams.
Avant-garde Bay
Vanguard Bays, on the other hand, focuses on survival equipment and training. They require 600 workers and can build a maximum of 20 Frostland teams.
How to reduce Frostland team requirements
Alternatively, you can Reduction of exploration costs to minimize the number of Frostland teams needed for exploration. This will free up some Frostland teams so you can send them to explore other areas. This is possible through some research projects:
- Scout Headquarters: The Survivalist Headquarters significantly reduces exploration costs and time, allowing you to use fewer Frostland teams for your missions.
- Scout training: The Pathfinder Scouts can also reduce the number of Frostland teams required per expedition, further lowering the threat level of the territory and ultimately reducing the likelihood of Frostland teams being lost or damaged.
