How to reach xenon:
As soon as you enter Cloudsgate Citadelyou are very close to Xenlon. In the middle of the main chamber you will find a red carpet leading south from the king's throne. At the end of the red carpet you will find a staircase that leads to a lower level. Take this set to exit the main chamber. In the next chamber you will find an old man who will offer you a drink if you tell him you are going to Xenlon. It does not appear that this drink has any positive or negative effects.
Take the door in the southwest corner of the room to exit. This leads to the Citadel Tower. The tower has several floors with fairly difficult enemies, so you should be properly leveled. Realistically, you should be at least level 50 the first time you fight Xenlon. This is actually low and will be difficult, but it is possible. When we first beat Xenlon we were at level 58.
Xenlon is at the top of the tower and you will know you are in the right place when you reach a long staircase. Take the time to use all consumables and add any items you want to use to the group's personal inventory. Then the fun can begin.

To fulfill Xenlon's first wish, you must win in 35 rounds or less. Once they defeat Xenlon, they will be true to their word and present you with a list of what appears to be five possible wishes. However, if you look at the end of the list, there is a space between the last wish and the end of the text box. If you click down, you'll notice that you can actually select the blank area. Select this as your wish to unlock the Temple of Trials.
Xenlon will wonder out loud how you even knew about this option, but grant the wish anyway. They then explain how to find the entrance, which they call a “crack in the fabric of reality.”
How to enter the Temple of Trials in Dragon Quest 3 Remake:
Xenlon will explain that to enter the Temple of Trials, you must mount Ramia the Everbird on Aliahan Island and then fly north. This is actually the best way to describe the process.
As you fly over the ocean, you suddenly see a bright light in the sky. It floats in place and grows larger the closer you get to it. If you fly directly towards it, a prompt will appear. If you follow the prompt you will be transported to the Temple of Trials.
The Temple of Trials is a large dungeon made up of five different sections like the points of a star. At each point you will find a trial version. Each trial has specific rules and rewards. Once you have completed all five trials, you will unlock the sixth and final trial, which is a battle with the Big dragon.
