  • Shoto honors Toya's memory by enrolling in an Ishikawa class to make bowls and chopsticks for soba.

My Hero Academia I recently saw the release of Volume 42 and it's safe to say that it delivered a lot of exciting content to fans. The most exciting part of Volume 42 was undoubtedly the epilogue of the story, or to put it another way: My Hero Academia Chapter 431. For one reason or another, Horikoshi released an additional 38-page epilogue with volume 42, which only adds to the already exciting ending to the series. In many ways My Hero Academia Chapter 431 adds more context to the ending and makes for a better ending to the story. Of course, no author can please everyone, which means there are a fair number of people in the community who don't particularly like the ending, but it's safe to say that it was a heartwarming chapter to say the least.

  • Toya Todoroki fought against Endeavor and Shoto
  • Toya's life was narrowly saved

Toya Todoroki, popularly called Dabi, was one of the main antagonists in My Hero Academia. Fans know that he was a member of the League of Villains, which later became the Paranormal Liberation Front. He was the son of Endeavor, the former number one hero, and therefore suffered quite a lot in his childhood. This was largely due to Endeavor's obsession with surpassing All Might. Knowing he couldn't do it alone, he wanted the perfect child who could surpass his own legacy and All Might's as well. Believing that Toya was just that, Endeavor put him through a strenuous training as a child, during which he suffered quite a bit. As if that wasn't enough, he never acknowledged all his efforts to earn his father's praise. Things got even worse after Shoto was born, as Endeavor realized that he now had the perfect child. Toya was now completely abandoned and although he tried in many ways to get his father's attention, he never really succeeded.

In the end, one of his attempts resulted in his body being completely burned, and here he was presumed dead. In reality, he survived, and that's when Dr. Garaki. Eventually, Toya realized that his father and family didn't care about him as much as he thought, and that led to the birth of Dabi.

He served as the main villain in My Hero Academia From this point on, he supports the League of Villains in many ways. He revealed his truth in the Meta Liberation War Arc and eventually stood in the way of Endeavor and then Shoto Todoroki in the Final War. Unfortunately, in the end his body was in a state where it could no longer be healed, and this was especially the case because he went beyond all limits in the last war. He even planned to blow himself up, but was stopped by Rei and his siblings, including Shoto. Without her, he would certainly have died and taken many people with him. In the end, his life was spared, but only for a moment. Before My Hero Academia ended, fans were clearly told that Toya was on loan. He was alive, but sooner rather than later he would die.

Toya's death is confirmed in My Hero Academia

Toya Todoroki died at an unknown time

In My Hero Academia Chapter 431, Toya's death, is essentially confirmed. Eight years have passed since the end of the last war and at this point, all of UA's hero candidates have graduated. Most of them have become popular professional heroes, and Shoto Todoroki is ranked number two on the Hero Billboard. Shoto has had an illustrious career as a hero and his strength continues to grow.

In the epilogue, fans saw Shoto holding a celebratory event for his rise to number 2 hero in Japan. This was where UA's entire former Class 1A gathered again and fans were able to see what each member was up to in their everyday lives. This was a phenomenal chapter to say the least, and the way it delved into the various characters that fans have grown to love over the years was certainly heartwarming. Shoto's growth was also notable. He has now developed new hobbies. In particular, he realized that he enjoys eating when he paid respects to Dabi at his shrine.

My Hero Academia author Horikoshi confirms he is starting a new series

Horikoshi is the MHA mangaka. After MHA is finished, Horikoshi will start a brand new manga.

It seems that Shoto visits Dabi's shrine every now and then and pays his respects. During one of these visits, he realized that he loves to eat, and because he loves soba, which he shares with Toya, he wants to enroll in an Ishikawa bowl and chopstick making class. Shoto believes that soba would taste even better in homemade dishes, and this is his way of paying tribute to his brother, whom he loved very much.

Here, Horikoshi merely confirms that Toya eventually died. Exactly when he died is unknown, but that shouldn't surprise fans because My Hero Academia had already confirmed to fans that he would eventually die as his life was already cut short.

How Toya's death affected Shoto Todoroki

Toya left a big impression on Shoto Todoroki

It's clear to fans that Toya Todoroki's death had a profound impact on Shoto. Fans know that Shoto himself made a positive move when he realized his brother was on borrowed time. The two started talking about their hobbies, and when Toya received a positive response about his favorite food being soba, Shoto seemed to continue talking to him every now and then. The fact that he still goes to his shrine to pay his tribute shows what a kind brother he really is.

Shoto's enrollment in the Ishikawa class just shows that he still thinks about his brother and carries him in his heart. Learning this is particularly important to him because it is a hobby he shares with his brother. Toya may be gone, but his memory remains with Shoto. To many fans, Shoto saying that he loves eating food might seem a bit bizarre or out of place, but when you look at it from a different perspective, he adds a whole new one to his newfound love of trying different foods Add level. Ultimately, Toya Todoroki lived a very tragic life from start to finish. But he was also someone who strived to live a great life and deserve the praise and recognition of everyone around him. Unfortunately, he didn't realize this until much later in the story, and when it happened, his life ended. Toya was led astray by none other than his own father, and every crime he has committed is partly thanks to Endeavor. But for what it's worth, Shoto remembers the good side of Toya deep in his heart and will always continue to show his respect.
