Harry Potter has a long history with magic
Charms might just sound like a fun way to combine iconic spells, but it actually has its roots in the Harry Potter Myth. Throughout the series' history, many different witches and wizards have created spells. Some of them barely accomplished anything, while others became extremely important parts of history. In fact, one of the main plot points of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince are the spells that Severus Snape created and filled an old potions book with. Additionally, many fans believe that Voldemort and Hermione created spells throughout their time.
Casting magic itself is not an easy task, because if it were, every magician would probably try to do it. Only witches and wizards with a great understanding of magic were able to create their own spells. You not only have to craft the spell, but also the movements of the wand. Although it is not known exactly how they do this, it is known to be very dangerous and sometimes even fatal to the person creating the spell. And for that reason it seems like a fantastic addition to the next one Hogwarts legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 could take magic to whole new heights
If Hogwarts Legacy 2 this part of the tapped Harry Potter lore, then it could lead to something truly special. Players could combine some of their favorite spells, create the wand move, give it a creative name, and then unleash it on their enemies. This allowed players to obtain all sorts of unique spells and effects, meaning no two games are the same. And if Avalanche wanted to go further, they could actually share said spells with each other.
If Avalanche wanted to include something like this, it could follow in the footsteps of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. In this game, players who joined the Mages Guild could gain the ability to create their own spells using the Alter of Spellmaking. This allowed them to combine learned magical effects into something much more powerful. What resulted was a pretty entertaining system that unfortunately wasn't implemented SkyrimBut Hogwarts Legacy 2 could fill this gap.
Of course, Avalanche would have to come up with a story as to why the player character is powerful enough to do this. However, it has already made the protagonist something of a chosen one, so there seems to be no reason not to expand on this idea further. Even though the magic feature was rather limited, its inclusion could be a fantastic treat for fans and lead to some extremely memorable moments in the process.
