The latest topographic data for Genshin Impact not only reveals the upcoming Natlan zones, but also locates the region believed to be Mare Jivari. When Genshin Impact Originally launched on September 28, 2020, players only had access to Mondstadt and Liyue. Over the course of its history, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan were added as Teyvat's borders continued to expand in all directions. Version 5.0 introduced the first zone of Natlan, allowing players to explore the lands of the Children of Echoes, Scions of the Canopy and People of the Springs.
The next map expansion for Natlan in Genshin Impact is planned for version 5.2, which will feature the ruins of the Eternal Empire, Ochkanatlan, as well as the settlement of the Flower Feather Clan. Fittingly, Chasca will join the playable cast in version 5.2, offering players an alternative way to explore the new zone without having to use dinosaur form. Although not yet confirmed, it is entirely possible that version 5.2 will also introduce the Masters of the Nightwind area, as Ororon will also make his debut in the same patch.
While Uncle Teyvat announced the upcoming Natlan zones with an earlier leak, a new topographic map of Jelena paints a more detailed picture of them Genshin Impact Players can expect this in future updates. It's all but guaranteed that the Collective of Plenty will get their due as the map expands towards the Great Volcano of Tollan, although the tribe's exact location cannot yet be pinpointed. Especially Natlan in Genshin Impact There will also be an island between Tollan and Ochkanatlan – a possible location for the Collective of Plenty. Perhaps the most fascinating discovery Jelena has made, however, is a deserted island far to the west that can only be Mare Jivari.
Genshin Impact leak teases Mare Jivari for a future Natlan update
The Mare Jivari was part of it Genshin Impacthas been a lore since version 1.0, and players have been wondering about it for years. Mare Jivari is described as a sea of ash where the wind does not blow. It is the westernmost point of Teyvat and is said to contain a sea of fire. The map shared by Jelena places the Mare Jivari far away from Ochkanatlan, meaning players would likely have to use the Waverider to reach it. If Natlan follows a similar pattern to Fontaine, players can expect Mare Jivari to be the final zone to be added to the region before Snezhnaya.
While leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt, it appears that Natlan's size will be closer to Fontaine than Sumeru. However, if the rumors of a Mondstadt map expansion prove true, the open world is in Genshin Impact will grow significantly during the Natlan Era. While version 5.2 won't be released until November 20, 2024, players should expect more information about the upcoming Natlan zones after October 9, 2024.
