There's been talk for the better part of the last month that Fortnite will be getting some kind of Cyberpunk 2077 crossover, but nothing concrete about a collaboration between the two games has been officially announced yet. However, it looks like an announcement will be made soon after Fortnite dataminers discovered files in the game that sound like they're ready for use.
SamLeakss, the same account that originally reported on an upcoming crossover between Cyberpunk and Fortnite, shared on Twitter that files for Cyberpunk 2077 vehicle cosmetics have been added to the game. They expect the vehicles to be added to Fortnite on December 17, 2024, as that is when the live service game receives its next update.

The news that Cyberpunk Files have been added to Fortnite came on the same day that CD Projekt Red hosted a stream detailing the game's upcoming 2.2 update. CDPR surprisingly announced that Cyberpunk would be receiving a 2.2 update earlier this week, which was unexpected as the studio had previously claimed the game would not receive any further updates, so the focus could shift to The Witcher 4. Unfortunately, there was no mention of the crossover during Stream.

Although nothing from Night City has made its way into Fortnite yet, Epic and CDPR have worked together to incorporate characters from Night City into the former's battle royal creation. Geralt has been in Fortnite for a while now and Ciri and Yennefer skins have also made their way into the game. It was really only a matter of time before elements of Cyberpunk 2077 were added.
As always, there have been many rumors about possible Fortnite crossovers heading into the new chapter, some more concrete than others. Baymax and Godzilla were confirmed early thanks to a trailer leak, while the arrival of characters from Yakuza and Tekken remains a rumor for now. Characters from both games bowing in Fortnite have been on the rumor radar for most of 2024, and the rumor mill picked up steam ahead of Chapter 6.
As for Cyberpunk, it's been almost exactly a year since Update 2.1, a patch that CDPR claimed at the time was the game's last major update. Turns out that wasn't the case, and more details about its surprise 2.2 update were revealed during today's livestream.
