BRUSSELS, Belgium: The ruling by the UN's top court that Israel's 57-year occupation of Palestinian land was “illegal” was “largely in line with the EU's positions,” the bloc's foreign policy chief said on Saturday. The blanket ruling by the International Court of Justice in The Hague on Friday, which called for an end to the occupation as soon as possible, was immediately dismissed by Israel as a “decision of lies.”
