CyberConnect2 has released a new update for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the boardwhich brings the game to version 1.20. This new update for Sweep the board adds a new game board and a series of mini-games based on the Hashira Training Arc, one of the main arcs of the Demon Slayer Franchise. The update is now available for gamers to download.
Sweep the board is a Mario party-like board game released for Nintendo Switch in early April and coming to other major console platforms the following July. Developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Sega, this game is a completely different experience than that Hinokami Chronicles Arena fighter. Players prepare with events and mini-games during the day and fight demons at night. Many iconic characters from the anime, such as Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke and Hashira, are also playable in this game. The first release featured panels based on famous locations from the series, such as Mount Fujikasane and Asakusa. The new update adds more content based on the Hashira training sheet.

Video games based on anime franchises have followed a pretty standard formula, but Demon Slayer was finally able to shatter expectations.
The update to version 1.20 of Sweep the board adds “Board Six,” a new themed game board Demon SlayerThe Hashira training sheet. This new game board features characters relevant to the story arc, such as the three wives of Tengen Uzui, Hinatsuru, Makio and Suma, as well as the demon slayer swordsman Murata, who will assist players in their game. Landing on certain squares can even trigger an event that allows the player to train with one of the Hashira.

Also included in this update are two new mini-games: Cold Soba Noodle Speed-Eating Contest and Fly the Distance. In the Noodle Speed Eating Contest, the player must eat cold soba noodles faster than the Water Hashira by quickly pressing the buttons in the correct order. In Fly the Distance, the player flies a paper airplane by stopping the display at the right time, where the player is slowed by flying in gusts of wind. Similar to the other boards in Sweep the boardAs the game moves into the night cycle, a series of bosses will test players' skills. Mist Hashira, Snake Hashira, and Wind Hashira appear on this board, and all four players must work together to overcome their challenges.
While the Demon Slayer Anime has come to an end, the series didn't have many video games that could capitalize on its popularity. Namely, Demon Slayer has only had two major console titles in recent years, The Hinokami Chronicles And Sweep the boardwhich are based on previous storylines in the anime. Since the anime has ended, perhaps it's best to do a definitive version again Demon Slayer Console game, like a sequel to The Hinokami Chronicles.
