Toretsk, Ukraine: Compared to others in war-torn eastern Ukraine, Galyna Poroshyna was lucky to live in Toretsk, a mining town nestled in a relatively sleepy sector of the front line. Then Russian attacks suddenly began and life in the city, about 40 kilometers north of Donetsk, drastically deteriorated.
