At the core of DanMachis Lore Lies Familias, a collection of individuals and gods/goddesses who focus on either exploring the dungeon and becoming stronger, or starting a trade to make money or take care of others. In their pursuit of strength, many families have proven themselves strong, but only a few can be called the strongest.

The strongest families in DanMachi consist of both elite adventurers and gods, whether due to their combat skills and dungeon exploration or their sheer influence in Orario. These families have proven capable of being at the top of the hierarchy and have earned their place in one way or another, some even through usurpation.

8 Hephaestus Familia

The Forgers of Orario

• Type: Blacksmith
• Captain: Tsubaki Collbrande

While the members of this family forge themselves through blacksmithing, many of them also go on adventures and are therefore called warriorsmiths. Although the Hephaestus family is a family based in Orario, they are known worldwide for their craftsmanship. Many of the weapons they craft are top-notch and highly sought after by those seeking to conquer the dungeon.

Additionally, as a Blacksmith-type Familia, many of their members craft incredible weapons for themselves, which also makes them capable of more powerful attacks than their counterparts, as seen with their level five captain, Tsubaki Collbrande, who is a top-notch Naginata uses she created for herself.

7 Ishtar Familia

A possessor of wealth and strength

With a level five captain and a strong foothold in Orario's entertainment district, the Ishtar Familia was one of the most powerful families in all of Orario, although most of its members were prostitutes and focused more on running brothels to make money in dungeons. Exploration.

Still, the core of the Ishtar Familia held levels five and four, and their wealth and influence in the entertainment district gave them a foothold that few dared to provoke them. Unfortunately, Freya was not one of the few, and the Ishtar family provoked her, leading to her overnight destruction at the hands of Freya and the more experienced members of her family.

6 Kali Familia

Strength through brutal deathmatches

Very little is known about the Kali Familia; However, due to their cruel training methods, they can be called one of the strongest. As a Familia outside of Orario, the members of the Kali Familia compete against each other in a death match, level up and become stronger. Because of this method, they have a number of level sixes, but little to no level fives, as they either reached level six or died trying.

Tione and Tiona Hiryute originally belonged to the Kali Familia, but eventually joined the Loki Familia. The Kali Familia is made up entirely of Amazon goddesses, women created for war, making them very effective in fighting humans. Additionally, they have two captains, and both are level six warriors.

5 Ganesha Familia

The Enforcers of Orario's Peace

The Ganesha Familia is the largest family in all of Orario. Their numbers are not just for show, as they have more than a hundred upper-rank warriors and eleven level five warriors. The Ganesha Familia has the largest number of first-class warriors and their military might is astounding. In addition, they serve as Orario's military police and maintain law and order in the city.

As a family, the Ganesha Familia has a variety of adventurers who serve as tamers and use a few beasts to fight other monsters. Additionally, they are known for taming beasts from the dungeon, an incredibly difficult task that further demonstrates their skill. If even half of their fifth level ascends, the Ganesha family has the ability to threaten the reputation of the Freya and Loki families.

4 Freya Familia

The Familia with an influential goddess and Orario's strongest

Ever since she came down from heaven, Freya has always been enchanted of powerful adventurers with a lot of potential. She desperately charmed many and made them part of her family, until eventually the Freya Familia became one of the most powerful in modern-day Orario.

The Freya Familia is at the forefront of Orario and is one of the most powerful and recognized groups in all of Orario. With Ottar, publicly recognized as Orario's strongest adventurer, their reputation is even more solidified. Aside from Ottar, the Freya Familia has many powerful adventurers, many of whom are level six, and their deity Freya is an influential being, always plotting and ready to destroy others for her goals.

3 Loki Familia

With a level 7 trio, they are unrivaled

After being involved in the dissolution of the Zeus and Hera family 15 years before the current story DanMachiThe Loki Familia was publicly recognized as a powerful group. Initially they were second only to the Freya Familia, but things changed after the Freya Familia was publicly disbanded during the Great Faction War and three members of the Loki Familia, Finn Deimne, Riveria Ljos Alf and Gareth Landrock, rose to level seven .

Aside from their top three members, the Loki Familia would dominate many with their other leaders, Ais Wallenstein, Tione, Tiona and Bete, showing how high up the ladder they are. Even though their god Loki often makes jokes, a god of mischief should never be underestimated.

2 Zeus Familia

Formerly Titans of Power with a legacy of strength

Unfortunately 15 years before the story of DanMachiThe Zeus Familia was wiped out. But 15 years ago, the Zeus family ruled Orario as one of the most powerful families for around 1,000,000 years, showing their power and their deep heritage.

Unlike the current Orario, which has level six warriors and upcoming level seven warriors as the most powerful in the city, the Zeus Familia had a level eight captain and several level seven and six members. As for the dungeon floors cleared, the Zeus Familia reached up to the 71st floor alongside the Hera Familia.

1 Hera Familia

Once the home of a legendary level 9 adventurer

• Captain: The Empress

Like the Zeus Familia, the Hera Familia dominated Orario before eventually being defeated. In ancient times, the Hera Familia featured individuals of the highest level known, as their captain was a level nine adventurer. Alongside the Zeus Familia, the Hera Familia defeated the legendary Behemoth and Leviathan, two monsters that resembled natural disasters.

Unfortunately, they were eventually defeated by the Black Dragon and driven out of Orario by their competitors. Although this Familia no longer exists today, they served as the strongest family in ancient times, as even today's adventurers of Orario have not surpassed their achievements.
