Monster Hunter fans haven't exactly hidden their love for Final Fantasy 14. The two IPs have had crossovers in the past, to the delight of players and developers. Considering how popular Monster Hunter World became and how successful Final Fantasy 14 continues to be, it's no surprise that the two want to work together again for Monster Hunter Wilds.

Capcom's blockbuster is already attracting hundreds of thousands of people. And that's just the open beta…
We've already seen players showing their love for both games in the Monster Hunter Wilds beta. Many players have built their fighters to look like Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida. Now other developers on the Final Fantasy 14 team have spoken about how they can't wait to release a crossover.

Speaking to GamesRadar+, Lead Battle Content Designer Masaki Nakagawa said that the team absolutely loves the Monster Hunter series and can't wait to find a collaboration for the upcoming installment of the series.
“There are many fans of the Monster Hunter series on the FF14 team, and I am one of them,” explained Nakagawa. “If we had the opportunity to do a crossover, we would love to do it, but with the release date for Monster Hunter Wilds coming up soon, we will do our best to enjoy the game first.”
It seems both sides are excited about the prospect of a crossover. “The game designer who took care of the combat content for our crossover with Monster Hunter: World was very motivated even after completing work on the crossover and said that if there was a next time, they would want to do this and that,” revealed Nakagawa. “So if we can do a crossover, I’m sure with our overwhelming enthusiasm we could create something amazing!”
Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy don't shy away from crossovers, with a number of monsters and enemies crossing over to the other side. We can't wait to see what the teams have in store for us this time, especially with all the improvements and new features we've seen in Monster Hunter Wilds.
