It can be either the third main fighter or the fourth, depending on where you go after defeating Yolvan, the Black Harrier Hunter in the Old Town – Lower Steeple.

The closest break to the captivating beast boss is the Forest Barrier Entrance. Although this boss doesn't have two distinct phases like Yolvan, it does significantly more damage with each hit and forces you to play much more defensively. His attack pattern is also quite aggressive compared to anything you've faced up to this point.

How to defeat Bound Beast in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist

While the tethered animal hits like a truck, it isn't too difficult to beat as his move is relatively easy. Once you learn his attack patterns, it becomes easier to stay behind him and dodge most of his hits.

Captured Beast's main attacks

• Chain swing: The boss swings a massive chain twice in a wide aoe around him. Alternatively, he can start the chain forward at the end of the swing.
• Chain slam: The bound beast quickly spins his chain and slams it onto the ground in front of him, creating a shockwave in which the chain lands.
• Charging: Tied up Beast lowers himself and accuses forward and tries to impale her. He is invincible when charging.
• Summoning chain: Once a quarter of the boss's HP remains, he will add the Summon Chain attack to his arsenal. Bound Beast jumps up and slams into the center of the arena, summoning diagonal chains from the ground that travel outward.

The strategy for tied animal combat is to stay as far behind the boss as possible. As he begins the chain swing attack, you can quickly tie back. Use Lito's Glacial Fist to get some damage, and when the boss throws out the chain, dodge quickly to avoid taking damage.

The chain slam attack shouldn't be a problem if you stay on the back of the boss. When the tethered animal charges towards you, use double jump and run to the other side to avoid taking a hit.

The summon chain attack is also fairly easy to avoid. As soon as the boss jumps into the middle of the arena, run to the edge of the screen to avoid getting caught by him. You can run towards the boss at the end to get a few hits in at that point.

How does the chained animal counter work?

As with all other Homunculi abilities, players must equip the tethered animal's counter from a break to use it. The ability has three variations:

• Chain whip: Press the ability button as the enemy attack lands to raise them up and counteract with a spinning chain that deals damage to enemies within range.
• Charging: Press the ability button while the enemy attack is landing to raise it up and use a dashing attack aimed straight ahead.

Benumbed Howl doesn't deal any breakage damage, but has the highest AOE.

The Tied Beast Counter is the first Parliament ability that players will find Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist. However, as you get further into the game, you'll find grimoires that allow you to purchase tank products from crafting.
