- PlayStation fans believe the date (which also happens to be the platform's 30th anniversary) was hidden in a new ad that appeared earlier this week.

PlayStation fans have been a bit nervous over the past few weeks since a new ad was uploaded to the platform's official YouTube channel. In this ad, a flying board can be seen very briefly with the date December 3rd written on it, which also happens to be the 30th anniversary of PlayStation as a whole. Many fans took this to be a reference to an event or PlayStation Showcase that will be taking place next month.
Insiders argue about whether an event could happen, pointing out that things like the Game Awards don't happen until December this year, and reliable figures like billbil-kun claim that things are being “prepared” behind the scenes. There is a lot of uncertainty at the moment, but one thing is certain: Bloodborne will be shut down for maintenance on the same day.
Bloodborne will undergo maintenance on its rumored PlayStation Showcase date
Bloodborne fans recently found out (and shared via the Twitter account FromSoftUpdates) that the game's servers will be undergoing maintenance on December 3rd. It's worth noting that it's not uncommon for FromSoftware games to randomly undergo maintenance, but this fitting perfectly into the day PlayStation could be teasing is almost too much of a coincidence.
