Herta (4 stars)
The Kuru-Kuru Queen is easily one of the best DPS around Honkai: Star Rail. She is likely the first Erudtion figure that players will receive in the game, as she is given away for free when Trailblazers complete some stages of the simulated universe.
The Emanator of Scholarship strikes in an AoE with her skill, her ultimate ability, and her follow-up attack (FUA). She's not the best in terms of damage, but her follow-up and multi-hit system can work well in content that specifically asks for these abilities.

Himeko
Another OG Erudition character in Honkai: Star Rail is Himeko. Like Herta, Himeko hits all enemies with her ability, ultimate, and follow-up attacks. But unlike Herta, Himeko has better damage and her FUA can be triggered more often.

Yunli

Imbibitor Lunae
Dan Heng IL may be a destructive character, but unlike units like Clara, Yunli or Firefly, he has no survivability. He's not a scholarly character either, but his AoE is still one of the best there is.

Argenti
Argenti is arguably one of the best Erudition characters ever HSR. He really shows what someone who specializes in AoE hits should look like. He has a maximum energy of 180, but he can cast his ultimate when he has 90 energy and 180 energy. At 90 Energy, Argenti's Ultimate deals far less damage but still hits all enemies, making it a great move to quickly destroy small enemies.
The Knight of Beauty's constant AoE hits are great for activating Jade's Debt Collector status.

Although SAM is a destructive character and isn't as good at AoE as Rappa, her damage is enough to destroy a horde of enemies. Just make sure you bring key supporters like Harmony MC, Ruan Mei and Lingsha or Gallagher.

Rappa
The Dazzling Ninja is part of the Break Effect DPS list in Honkai: Star Rail. Although in lore she follows the path of hunting, in play fighting she has the path of learning. Therefore, it's no surprise that Rappa deals incredible AoE damage.
While Imaginary isn't the best attribute for Break DMG, Rappa's ability to reduce toughness regardless of the opponent's weakness, and the fact that she can do this on all enemies, means her damage builds up very quickly accumulates. As with Firefly, players will need to have the right support for Rappa, as she doesn't do well on her own.
2
jade
When it comes to AoE damage, Jade is undoubtedly one of the best. Jade makes a follow-up attack Honkai: Star Rail If she collects enough stacks, she deals great damage, which increases the longer the fight lasts and the more enemies she hits. Acheron
Nihility characters are usually the top debuffers, but not Acheron. Instead, Acheron requires her teammates to place debuffs so she can unleash insanely powerful hits with her ultimate.
The Emanator of Nihility's ultimate effect has an area of effect that not only has a long range, but also deals insane damage. Since she doesn't rely on Energy to perform this move, players can aim for as much Ultimate as possible by investing in things like Acheron E2, her Cone of Light, Jiaoqiu Support, and move advancers like Sparkle.
