Arcane may have only lasted two seasons, but it proved to be one of the best-received video game adaptations to date. The series became a huge success on Netflix and united both hardcore series League of Legends Fans and non-gamers alike. Although the short lifespan of Arcane is bittersweet, the series will hopefully serve as a blueprint for future animated game adaptations.
Now this Arcane comes to an end, it will be interesting to see which games, if any, receive a similar animated treatment. There are many franchises that could produce the same character-based intrigue as Arcanebut there is one series in particular that might lend itself to the same approach. Mortal Kombat has a lot of adjustments to show for it, but still Arcane The treatment could be just what the former needs to finally get a worthy spin-off series.

This is a significant number of adaptations, but unfortunately they have mostly received either mixed or negative reviews. While some of the animated films have received better feedback than their live-action counterparts, a streaming series may be a better route Mortal Kombat take.
With a series like Arcaneit's easier to delve deeper into character dynamics and their backstories, whereas films only cover a short period of time. For a series that is as character driven as Mortal KombatMulti-episode seasons could finally give the martial arts franchise the gripping adaptation it deserves. More importantly, however, a Mortal Kombat Spin-off needs the right team behind it.
