Selena Gomez has put an end to speculation that she has undergone cosmetic surgery.

In the now-deleted clip, content creator Marissa Barrionuevo was asked to share what work Gomez has done over the years.
Barrionuevo, a physician's assistant at a plastic surgery practice, declined to analyze Gomez's appearance, citing the former Disney Channel star's health issues with lupus.
In the video, originally shared in 2023, Barrionuevo told her followers that the diagnosis often changes a person's appearance and should not be confused with cosmetic work.
Nevertheless, Gomez let her frustration about the topic vent in the comments section.

In return, Barrionuevo pinned Gomez's comment to the beginning of a new video in which she apologizes to the singer for the content of the previous clip.
“I adore you,” she said. “I really mean well, so I apologize if this rubbed you the wrong way.”
She also captioned the video, “While I always try to lead with grace and mindfulness, I'm sorry this upset you (and I understand why it was). I decided last year to stop making videos like this because of the negative impact they can have. That was never my intention.”
It seems that Gomez was quick to forgive, as she wrote: “I love you. Not because of you. I'm just sad sometimes.”
In 2014, Gomez was diagnosed with lupus. Soon to be single The singer subsequently underwent a kidney transplant and chemotherapy.
Five years later, she spoke openly about the difficulties she had faced since her diagnosis, revealing that the weight gain was a side effect of the medication she was prescribed.
