NEW YORK: A jersey belonging to American baseball legend Babe Ruth broke the world record for the most expensive sports item sold at auction on Thursday – and the auction hasn't even ended yet. The highest bid for the New York Yankees jersey is currently at $13.3 million, including commission and fees. However, according to organizer Heritage Auctions, the auction does not end until August 24. Experts estimate that the bid could rise to as much as $30 million.
